Appreciated Dr. Kommor's interaction. He is easy to talk with. If he's still practicing in a couple of years when it is time for next colonoscopy, I would gladly let him do it.

I have seen Dr Kommor for many years and frankly believe he is the best GI doctor anywhere. He listens intently and is patient. His nurse Lauren is caring and gets back to you quickly when you call with a problem. No one wants to have gi problems but if you do, there is absolutely no better hands to be in. The care is exceptional. He thinks outside the box and individualizes the care specific to what works best for the patient. I adore this practice and cannot say enough good about it.

My brother who is a P.A. recommended Dr. Kommor after my regular GI physician retired. He said he was to the point, knew his job and knew it well. Boy was my brother right. He listens carefully to all my concerns and moves forward with solutions to my exact symptoms. He’s thorough, professional and gives me great comfort when I have surgical procedures. His staff is wonderful and unless he retires anytime soon (God forbid) I’ll continue with yearly follow-ups with his practice.

A colonoscopy that turned into a nightmare in May 2018. A few hours after the colonoscopy, an excruciating pain led me back to the hospital emergency. A life-threatening perforated colon was diagnosed and required an immediate surgical intervention. I consequently spent 4 weeks in the hospital, and then wound monitoring care during 3 months with home care, and surgeon follow-ups. This doctor should have validated the quality of the work done and should not have sent me back home. Terrible.

Dr. Kommor listened intently, asked good questions, shared information, then was decisive in offering a solution. I waited a month to get an appointment with him; it was absolutely worth the wait. I had an excellent experience with a clearly competent and caring physician whose focus is patient health and comfort. The staff was well-prepared, friendly and professional. Someone was thoughtful enough to provide a coat rack in the restroom; I found that to be indicative of the entire practice.
