Very caring
Dr Heil really seems to care and understand his patients. Was able to put me at ease. Too bad Goshen surgery center turned it into a very bad situation.

My first impression with this doctor was not the best. His office would not see me even though I had a very serious issue that required a specialists attention. I even had another doctor call to get me a referral. After calling the office several times and explaining my symptoms and the nurse would give me no answers I told them I would have to go to the ER. She told me because of Covid I probably should not go. I had no choice- went to the ER that night and found out I had the very serious C-Diff. It was only then he would meet with me. When I first met him he seemed amazing. Then after the treatments he was offering was not fixing the problem and I also ended up in the hospital, my family doctor had to corner one of his staff in the break room and requested that someone help me. They still did not get anything accomplished and after six months finally had to go to Indianapolis to get the proper care. I was disappointed because it felt like he just didn’t want to be my DR.

Dr. Heil is a very caring and great doctor, when you can actually be seen. I waited two months to be seen the first time as a second opinion. I didn’t realize this was the norm. I have been in contact with his phone nurse who is exceptional to try and resolve my issues. I was told to go on a waiting list in October since I couldn’t get an appointment until January. Symptoms are worse so I call to get in, and I’m now told mid February. It’s very frustrating when you’re in pain and can’t be seen.

Dr Heil was so kind as to work me into his schedule the first day, when I arrived in the ER in terrible pain due to gallstones. He was thorough in assuring I understood the procedure, informed my family as needed and followed through with ordering an xray after the procedure.

Dr. Heil has treated me for the past year for Barrett's esophagus. He couldn't have been any more attentive to my needs and concerns. He even took the time to personally call me and answer concerns during the early treatment process. I would highly recommend him. On top of that my Barrett's is in complete remission

Dr. Heil has taken care of me while in the hospital two times of late. I've never had a physician take the time, show the compassion, and offer such an amazing bedside manner. He enters the room with a pad of paper, sits down and asks questions, shares insights, answers questions, and never appears to be in a hurry or interested in anything other than helping the patient. Often health care providers appear to be thinking about the next thing they have to do. Not Dr. Heil! Highly recommend!

Dr. Heil was very nice and took the time to come see me before taking a stone out that was stuck in a bile duct. He made sure I understood what he was explaining to me n that I was ok with everything. I'm very thankful with Dr.Heil because it was New Years weekend and he took his time and found people to go in and help him with the ERCP that I needed. thanks again Dr.Heil and God Bless You.
