Dr. Ross Hanchett, MD

Amazing expirience. As a trans man with bottom dysphoria, I did everything I could to avoid ever having to deal with any gynecology or obgyn stuff, so I was extremely nervous going in. Luckily Dr Hanchett was extremely compassionate and knowledgeable. He listened to my history and was understanding of my concerns, with a great bedside manner. Extremely quick wait time, extremely quick appointment, with minimal discomfort. Would absolutely recommend.

He told me he had never heard of what I was experiencing. After an abnormal lab, he did not contact me even when several messages were sent to him. No explanation, no treatment plan. I will never go back to him. He gives male OBGYNs a bad name. He is just clueless and careless to female issues and pain. I would never recommend this doctor, who made me cry too due to him telling me he never heard about what I was experiencing and then ignored an abnormal lab.

Such a great doctor! He was able to talk me down and help me find an easier alternative to a hysterectomy. He answered all my questions with such amazing detail.

Dr. Hanchett is knowledgeable and compassionate. He listened to my concerns and was patient with me as I made difficult decisions regarding treatment. As a surgeon, he was professional and I felt completely at ease in his care.

I left my doctor in Chico and transferred to Dr. Hanchett for my hysterectomy upon hearing about his talent with laparoscopic surgery. He answered all my questions and was always cheerful and professional. One of my favorite doctor experiences.

Dr. Hanchett as a physician is unfortunately not for me. I did not care for him dismissing my concerns. He seems like he is full of himself. I understand that being a Dr. took lots of work and schooling. But, at the end of the day we are all Gods children and no one is better then anyone.

I left my original OBGYN to see Dr. Hanchett. My first inpression was great. His office staff was amazing. Then little things affected my opinion. The wait in the office has been upwards of two hours multiple times and he has been dismissive about my complaints of pain. I actually left my last apt in tears. I will be returning to my original OBGYN.

He is a wonderful doctor, very caring & attentive. He helped me through a very hard time when I had to deliver my 2nd child as a still born at 20 weeks. He helped me to get all the tests needed & results needed for my husband & I to make an educated choice on what to do with our daughter who had non-functional kidneys & under developed lungs. Even though I was going to lose my daughter he never once treated me negatively. He was always caring, understanding & there for us. He is a wonderful guy.
