If I could leave this man zero stars I would. He is horrible. I can over look the rude staff but I can’t over look his behavior. I am a first time mom yet dr purvis failed to go over anything with me at my first visit. I only went to him twice before finally finding a wonderful obgyn in Jackson MS. He acted irritated when I asked him more than one question and was always in a hurry to get out of the room and go to the next patient as if he was juggling too many at one time. His ultra sound tech did a sloppy job of my first ultra sound at 8 weeks and I told dr purvis I would pay out of pocket for another to be done at the hospital and he refused. I also mentioned I wanted the chromosomal abnormality and Down syndrome test done before I was out of my first trimester and that even if my insurance didn’t cover it I would pay out of pocket again he REFUSED. That’s just being lazy if someone is willing to pay why on earth would a dr refuse. One day he is going to end up being sued

I felt very comfortable with my visit. He delivered 2 of my kids 20 something years ago. Love him and his staff just the same today as I did then. Working a few hours from Meridian but I am coming back to Meridian for surgery and all of my OBGYN needs.I was feeling really low about my appearence due to health issues and was really feeling bad. He and his staff lifted my spirits. I am on the road to recovery. Special people.

I had a TRAUMATIC experience with Dr. Ronnye Purvis, MD. He pretended to go along with my wishes for a natural delivery until the due date approached. Due date arrived and I had no labor symptoms. The baby was too high up. Purvis forced me Into the hospital threatening that if I didn’t cone to the hospital immediately that I would have to find another doctor to deliver at the last minute. I was forced to birth on HIS schedule. I was railroaded into an Emergency C-Section and ended-up in ICU. :’(

Dr. Purvis is WONDERFUL! My sister, mother, and I all use him, and even with my mom haven’t seen him in 22 years and my sister in 5 years, he still knew their names and cared to ask about them. He’s so very professional and kind. His nursing staff is also extremely friendly. I’d recommend this clinic to ANYONE!

I've gone to Dr purvis for as long as I can remember, and so has my mother. Him and Felicia are great, but they just lost two loyal clients because of their staff. My mother went in one day and while the nurse was taking her BLOOD, she was on the phone having a casual conversation. Not only that but I went in very recently and my questions were met with eye rolls and I was made to feel stupid. On top of all of this, i was checked in for the wrong thing and then made out as if it were my fault.

Dr. Purvis himself if very friendly and great at explaining medical questuons. The staff however is less then helpful. No appointment call reminders, no test result callbacks,(after calling personally for answers.) Have waited over a month for simple phone call. Wouldn't recommend for the anxious type,or first time mothers .

He's to busy. Very friendly if you actually see him instead of Felicia... but I think his work load is to large to keep a one on one relationship with his patients.
