A Doctor Who Brings His A Game.
Not, that I haven’t locked horns with Doctor Schechter, I have. I’m not a patient patient and oft times have run out of patience after extraordinarily long wait times. I try to remind myself that Doctor Ron carefully examines each patient and gives a thorough explanation of his/ her diagnosis. In addition, like any good Doctor who treats patients with chronic illnesses, he must evaluate his notes and history as months can pass in between appointment and this takes time.Doctor Ron is a sharp guy who always brings his A game. I’ve been under his care for over ten years and have no plans to change.

Just don’t get sick. He was my mother’s cardiologist until she got really sick, and he advised her to get another Dr. He’s a know it all who doesn’t. Don’t ask him questions or he will question you about your job. I complained to his office mgr about his extreme unprofessionalism and rudeness. Steer clear of him or you will regret it. He is a discredit to his profession. Imagine a Dr who doesn’t want sick patients.

I was not too impressed with Dr. Schechter. I was just in St. Joseph Hospital for high BP and chest pressure. After two days released without finding the issue or cause! Seeing another Cardiologist ASAP. He was in a hurry and when I asked about doing a cath, I was basically told- you do your job and let me do mine!

Excellent doctor with vast clinical experience who has been in the proverbial trenches for decades. He is a good listener, thorough, measured in his approach, and confident in his diagnosis. He will not put you through unnecessary invasive or potentially dangerous procedures. He is direct and clear in communications and returns phone calls. His office people are top notch.

This physician sent my mother for testing an Echocardiogram to R/O CHF. I was never contacted with results, When I called I was told he would call me if there was a problem. Well my mom ended up in ER 2 months later for the first time ever we were told her swollen legs; he saw in his office was that she had heart failure. She spent 3 weeks in hospital with every doctor in disbelief he didn't admit her to begin and those test results they faxed over showed she had CHF to begin with, never knew!

Dr. Schechter is the worst, most unprofessional doctor I have ever dealt with. After five years of treating my mother, just when she needed him most, he told her to get another doctor. He criticized and blamed her for getting sick. He even criticized her for having to call for an ambulance on several occasions. It turned out that her mitral valve was torn and two of her arteries were blocked but these diagnoses were made by real doctors at Johns Hopkins. We will never see this man again.
