Dr. Ronald Parfitt, MD

Dr. Parfitt is very professional, experienced, caring and sincere. We have had Dr. Parfitt as our family doctor for 10 years. You don't find many doctors like Dr. Parfitt anymore. This is a genuine private practice free from the many downsides of corporate medicine and doctors who are employees of corporations. His record-keeping is excellent and he takes thorough notes as you describe your condition. He gives you a printout of his recommendations and any test results. He respects you as a human being and takes as much time as necessary to understand your concerns. Highly recommended.

I saw the assistant. She was more interested in where I'm from than in my medical issues, even though they are straightforward. I was worried about this guy, anyway. He's had complaints, and they're pretty snooty in the office. It's not a place where a guy feels comfortable. More like you're being scrutinized and classified as something less than a regular person needing some medical attention or advice. It turned into a battle right at the beginning. I'm a private guy, not given to idle chatter, and I appreciate a doctor who focuses on the medical part. That's why I go to a doctor. :)

After filling out two lengthy new patient packets, sending it to the office for acceptance, we were accepted and made a visit appt. After waiting one hour and seeing patients who came in after us go in before us, we questioned Sharon why this was the case. She told us that Dr Parfitt takes a long time, sometimes up to two hours on scheduled appointments. She claimed that she told us beforehand which is not true as we surely would not accept such poor queue management from an office and physician. She then tried to steer us to use the nurse practitioner. Then the office staff became very curt and rude. We got our money back and left. Do not recommend.

I really appreciate Dr. Parfitt. Have been seeing him for 15 years. He is always caring and takes the time to fully explain, so sometimes late because of that. Does a great job each time.
