Attentive, caring and thorough.
I've been seeing Dr. McDaniel for 30 years. Routine to life threatening stuff, he and the staff have always been what you'd want and need. He's thorough and well informed, as well as researches things that are not typical. I've been disappointed with the majority of specialists over the years (for stroke, heart procedures, MS, etc) but never with Dr McDaniel. I'll be sad to see him retire before I expire.

Avoid
Negligent, rude front desk staff, antiquated office, and the cause of great pain for my father while waiting for an MRI, which he won't receive because the office didn't follow protocol for his insurance company. Lacking in compassion and basically wrote off my Dad and his severe knee pain to some arbitrary diagnosis. Taking myself, and my 6 family members elsewhere.

I have PTSD from medical trauma. I explained I never get violent, but I can get mean. I also explained all he had to do was great me with dignity & respect, and keep.me informed about my care. He PROMISED to do so. Then he slipped a prescription in with my paperwork that he told me nothing about. Never discussed it with me. And according to the doctor's report who did the study, this med could cause problems with my pancreatic divisum. A condition he admitted he'd never heard of. Next visit, I explained why I wasn't going to take it, and he threw a fit! Acted like I was being completely unreasonable. On top of that, this wasn't something I asked him to address. I don't EVER take psych drugs. I have a philosophical reason for that, and I never compromise. But he didn't respect that. He was COMPLETELY unreasonable, and dismissed all of my concerns, as if he owned me! Infact, he broke every promise he made to me, & was VERY disrespectful. Triggered the PTSD. Took DAYS to calm down. FAIL!

Very Plesant. Genuinely cares about his patients. The staff is amazing. Not a very long wait time. You get a typed report explaining everything you need to do and can call anytime with Questions.
