Dr. Ronald Macbeth Jr, MD

I went to Dr Macbeth because I fell injuring my shoulder wrist and both thumbs. He never touched me or did any Xray’s. He said nothing to do it will heal. After 2 weeks I could not move my arm nor shoulder. I went to Gainesville Ga. I had my shoulder replaced on August 12, and both thumbs needing pins. I definitely would not go to this practice.

Broken arm, I was sent from the ER. He was very professional, kind, and took time to answer questions. Staff also very kind and professional.

Had a THR and at 6 week follow up I described that rehab was not going well and he replied, your only using a cane that last woman is in a wheelchair and she had the same operation the same week. I finally found a surgeon who performed a total revision replacement and found at the 7 month mark the bone had not encapsulated the insertion as the diameter was to small, the length was appx 1 inch short and the tendon was unattached. Find someone else.

In July of 2014 I suffered a bimalleolar fracture while on vacation in the mountains of northeast Georgia. It was one nasty injury and quite serious. Not knowing one Orthopedist in the state I had to trust the Orthopedist who was available to me, Dr. Ronald MacBeth. I couldn't have had a finer surgeon tending to me. He was a true answer to prayer, and I am eternally grateful that he was there when I needed him.

Has absolutely no interest in any complications or issues resulting from surgery. A"surgeon" only... NOT my idea of a doctor. Go elsewhere.

Fell fractured my right humerus Nasty break. My doctor was off. Dr. Macbeth refused to treat me. I spent the weekend wrapped in an elastic bandage from axilla to waist. In all my years as an EMT-I, I had never seen one. The pain was terrible. Discharge instructions said to call his office or my Orthopod. Mine does his surgery on Monday, Dr. Macbeth still refused to see me. Finally called my PCP, who called my Orthopod, who saw me. Too late for a cast. Went home with a sling. I still have point tenderness, discoloration , and deformation at the break site and pain at times. This at least ten years ago. Thank you very much Doctor. All this because you did not like my insurance plan.

Dr Macbeth is a very capable orthopedic surgeon. I had my left knee replaced and after two weeks I was able to walk without assistance of a walker or a cane. The artificial knee feels exactly like a real knee. I was hesitate at first but know I'm glad I had the procedure done. I hope I won't have to have the other knee replaced bit if I do, I will call Dr Macbeth again.

Dr. MacBeth gave me great treatment. He was thorough and patient in explaining my options. I received a hip replacement surgery from him in August 2018 and was very pleased with his work and his follow up. If you’re in north Georgia and have hip or knee issues, I would strongly recommend him. He is located on the second floor of Union General Hospital in Blairsville. He has an excellent certified physician assistant as well.
