Worst experience of my life
Please reconsider before seeing this doctor. He was trying to rush appointments I had with him and always tried to quickly leave without letting me ask questions, despite the appointments being about an invasive operation. He was very quick to suggest surgery and left me with chronic pain for years without any sort of post surgery care. Another urologist I saw later called the procedure he preformed outdated. This man does not seem to care about providing quality medical care.

Dr. ugarte was very persistent in finding out way my PSA kept going up. After three biopsys he found cancer cells in a very difficult area to reach in my prostate. If not for his dedication to finding the reason and his great ability as a surgeon I would not be alive today. Nothing but praises for this fine doctor.

I brought my 91-year-old mother from a post-hospital stay recovery facility for an exam with Dr. Ugarte today. I was so pleased with the extraordinary way they treated us both. They were so kind and careful with my mother who is in pain most of the time and very frail. Everyone was so thoughtful. I would highly recommend this physician.

Would absolutely avoid this guy. He utterly lacks any human compassion; with Ugarte there is no "care" in healthcare. It is a wonder he is allowed to practice medicine of any type. He does NOT spend any appropriate time with patients, even under the most severe diagnosis, nor does he provide adequate explanations, does not listen to patient. In addition, treatment is highly questionable. It may be time for his license to be revoked. Bottomline: AVOID at all costs!
