I had 1B stage melanoma and Dr. Sharma did my surgery to remove my mole on my outer calf. Unfortunately, the surgery did not go well and he needed to do a second surgery. I was in contact with him and his office because I had a surgical drainage tube in for 13 weeks!!! As a result of everything, I currently have lymphedema in my leg and am left with a large “crater like hole” on my calf. Prior to the initial surgery, he assured me that it would “fill in” after the removal, which never happened. After my second surgery, I expressed my concerns about my leg. He never thought that I had lymphedema and dismissed it. Now, I have lymphedema and am extremely self conscious especially in the warmer months. Also, it is a huge burden to manage, not to mention, the cost to control this condition. Sadly, I would rather have lymphedema than my ugly hole that never “filled in” or healed properly. Later, I wanted to file a lawsuit, however it was just over a year and was too late.

I am so so thankful that he was in Rice Lake when I brought my 13 year old daughter in! She had to have her appendix removed and Dr. Sharma was her surgeon. To say he is amazing is a complete understatement!! Caring, compassionate, informative, he made both of us feel completely at ease! Most doctors in rice lake have forgotten that people are not just a number or a dollar sign so it’s in and out as quickly as possible! Dr Sharma was such a welcome change to that atmosphere! I honestly love him and can not say enough amazing things about him! THANK YOU DR. SHARMA!
