Dr. Murken, a wonderful orthopedic doctor and surgeon, treated my hammer toe and Morton's Neuroma and was wonderful! He is very kind, professional, super knowledgeable, and a wonderful, caring personality! The surgery and after care went very well as he described it to be. I’ve had severe midfoot pain from arthritis for years. Other podiatrists told me to take meds and basically live with it. The first time I saw Dr Murken he fully explained the problems he saw on my X-rays and said that fusion surgery was my only option because of the severity of bone deterioration. He said his goal was to rid me of my pain and give me the quality of life I deserved. No one else had ever cared that much or given me a real solution. Surgery went well, and at my first post surgery appointment he again fully explained the new X-rays, what he did, checked nerve function, and took time to answer my questions. I can’t wait to do my other foot!

I went to Dr Murken for bunion surgery. I had great care from the doctor and he took the time to explain the procedure. His office as well as surgery center communicated with me consistently from before and after my procedure. A very positive experience

In 2022 I sustained a a horrific slip and fall shattering my tib-fib and requiring 2 surgeries, 2 plates and 17 screws. Dr. Murken put me back together again after Dr. Wente did his initial surgery top-notched alignment with a fixator. Dr. Murken was skilled and strived to restore my leg to as normal as possible. He supported my efforts in rehab and PT, was patient with all my questions, gave direction to the best approach to healing properly, and offered realistic encouragement throughout two years of recovery.

Dr Murken is always personable and attentive to questions. He makes you feel heard as a patient!

Dr was so kind to let my Daughter who I called to listen in, she just graduated from her surgical Residency so wanted to hear the results of X-ray and the possible treatment options. Explained everything in such a kind manner, really enjoyed my appointment.

Came back to Dr. Murken for continued problems walking. He did a whole bunch of new X-rays, and gave me recommendations on further treatment and improvement measures. He’s been great to me doing surgery for my complex hip fractures after a traumatic fall. He’s followed up every issue and offers explanations that I can understand. I’d go back to him for other issues in a second (but hope I never have one again!).

Showed on computer x-ray then confirmed, explained thoroughly what is seen.

Dr. Murken’s personality is awesome! Very matter-of-fact, but energetic, and positive! He explains things thoroughly, and gives very understandable explanations of the medical aspects (that someone untrained otherwise might have a hard time understanding). He spent a long time in the room, to make sure we covered everything, and set realistic expectations. He left me trusting him implicitly.

Dr. Murken is courteous and listens to the issue you are having. Doesn't rush into decisions and gives you options and his recommendations.
