Dr Fontes was very kind direct, reviewed x-rays and discussed plan. He came recommended and I was very pleased. Planning for ATHA.

Words cannot express how relieved we were when we met with DrFontes. My husband fell in Mexico and had to have surgery for a fractured femur. When coming back home to the U.S. we went to other orthopedic surgeons and were told that in Mexico they did not do a proper surgery and the rod and hardware has to be removed and he would need a hip replacement. No doctor was willing to help us told us we would have to go to California, Arizona or Utah. Our primary doctor told us to go to Dr. Fontes. Can’t explain how we felt when Dr. Fontes was going to help us and remove the rod and hardware and do the hip surgery. My husband and I cried so many tears of joy. We understand doctors don’t like to do repairs on other doctors surgeries but we had no choice but to do the surgery in Mexico and Dr. Fontes totally understood that and reassured us everything will be okay. He is very compassionate, patient and kind. God bless Dr. Fontes!

Front desk people were great greeted. You welcome to went back to x-ray. Everything was great there took me to his office where I met all the staff. There must’ve been like four that came in each had their job to do and they did it well and I got to meet the doctor Wonderful man and more staff came in to get me my preop stuff. Explain what I have to do. Everything was great can’t wait warning don’t get any steroid shots in your joints before I have to wait three months now to have my surgery because I did that, but that was on me. But July is my time for surgery. Can’t wait.Everything ran smooth from start to finish. Thank you.

Dr. Fontes is amazing! He did a phenomenal job on my hip. I'm a new person. I tell everyone to go see him. I need to stop or there won't be any appointments left for me..Had a hip replacement last year and I was doing my walks at the park 8 weeks later.By summer I was swimming with my granddaughters. I'm so grateful. Finding a good doctor is hard, but finding a great doctor is even harder.Their surgery center was great, clean and everyone there was kind and caring. I was the last one for the day, I wasn't afraid I couldn't wait to have it . Dr. Fontes comes to see me before the surgery and he said ' I'm all warmed up, you're next'.I was happy, excited and couldn't wait. Best thing I could have done for myself and family. If you need help, this is the place to go. If I need anybither orthopedic surgery, I will definitely go to see Dr. Fontes. He's a nice guy too. Thank you Dr. Fontes for letting me have a better quality of life.

Dr. Fontes is a great surgeon, but he needs a far better staff to support him! I don't know why his assistant, Ms. Bren, hates me so much! I'm Type 1 Diabetic since 1963 and I've been in a wheelchair waiting for hip replacement surgery while being attended to by home health care. Ms Bren has ignored my phone messages, and when I finally get hold of her, she's extremely rude! I've got witnesses who've heard her get nasty! I've been okayed for surgery by my Cardiologist, Endocrinologist, Hematologist and Primary Care. NOW, Ms. Bren wants current bloodwork done & she refuses to help me find a lab to draw my blood at home! She yelled, 'YOU'LL HAVE TO GO YOURSELF!' I hung up with tears in my eyes! And I missed a call from Brooke, in Dr. Fontes office today. When I called back, they refused to patch me thru to Brooke! Maybe they hate me because I'm part Indian and my wife of 19 years is Asian? A lot of that seems goes on here in Las Vegas. I almost feel like I need a lawyer!

Dr Fontes exhibited a thorough knowledge of what the source of my knee pain could be, and then determined the best course of action. I’m currently pain free, and I’m impressed with the staff and their professionalism.

Dr Fontes and his team are very kind, throughly explain procedures and follow up.

Went for an appointment arrived at 12:25 for a 1pm. The staff said he was running 20 minutes behind after I asked. At 2:32 still not seen. Left to never return. Terrible way to run a practice. Zero stars.

Dr. Fontes approach and support team for my hip joint replacement on October 29th of this year was nothing short of brilliant and smooth. This is the 26th day since my surgery and I’m walking with gradually dissolving, mild ache in my hip and thigh area. I’m so grateful to have had this state of the art care available for me and plan to have the same procedure for my right hip performed in a few months.

Dr Fontes reviewed my Xrays, ordered additional Xrays, performed an evaluation of my hips, and he determined that my problem was something other than hips. He referred me to a specialist for spine. Excellent care.

Dr Fontes took his time and explained everything I loved that I was able to have an X-ray and then immediately see the doctor to consult with him I would definitely recommend him

Dr Fontes replaced my left hip in 2019. He will be replacing my right hip in Jan 2025. Check out his bio...former trauma surgeon at UCSF. Early adapter of the less invasive anterior hip replacement method. Has the great team at Desert Orthopedics to support him. You are in good hands with Dr Fontes.

Dr Fontes is an excellent surgeon. Highly knowledgeable and experienced. I had great results last year with my THR - rapid healing, no complications . His staff and the DOC staff are helpful and kind. Clearly I highly recommend

It was perfect. I did research prior to My IME appointment with Doctor Fontes. He was professional, perfect bedside manners, introducing himself with eye contact, we discussed my information and concerns and information he had. Highly recommend him.
