Unable to manage my care when Rx was out of stock.
His failure to use my rx plan medicine( his hospital out of stock) or set up treatment with another source was Nearly fatal with 2 month needless stint in hospital . He prescribded Rx, then ignored when his facility failed to fill. Myers medical affiliation with Hospital( Hillcrest)Leads you to third tier facility . Rx plan and myself brought Rx availability to his attention, he ignored our texts and letters to him. DANGEROUS

Good
Although it has been a while since Dr. Myers treated me, he was always very kind and considerate. His staff did their best to work me in if I was having a bad migraine.

Maybe Dr. Myers isn’t for everyone, but he is definitely competent. He knows exactly what he is doing, and he has listened to my concerns with sincerity. He has never once been dismissive of my concerns, always does a thorough exam, explains everything to me, and answers all of my questions. I would recommend him to anyone with a neurological disorder.

This doctor needs to be retired he is rude and totally unprofessional . My mother was his patient after the visit my mother was crying because of is unprofessionalism towards her and me. He got in my face for the first five min of the visit attacking me over not having the shot. Then when he looked mother it was very briefly. Told her bluntly and condescendingly tell her she was having mini-strokes and there was nothing he could do or no medicines he could give and that we could come back when things get worse.

He is very professional and expects you to come in with proper questions and answers. This I don’t know or can’t remember doesn’t float well. He is brilliant in his field of neurology. His exams are thorough and he does not do unnecessary testing. He is always on time and never rushes you and explains things when you ask. I have been a patient for over 10 years.

I wish I could give him less than one star! I would not wish for anyone to be under the care of this man or his staff. He didn’t care about getting to the root of any of my health issues he just wanted to put me on more medication. The entire visit to this office was a joke not to mention the facility was dark, dingy and dirty. Do yourself a favor find a different neurologist!!!

I've been with Dr. Myers for 5 years. Biggest complaint: as a neurologist he does not TREAT the psych side effects of the epilepsy meds he prescribes, so I have to see another doctor just to ctrl side effects. Other neuros do both.

Dismissive & pompous. How can you properly treat & diagnosis without listening to patients? His lack of willingness to listen & ego makes him dangerous.

I’ve never been to a doctor that is as rude and unprofessional as this man!! Took my mother to him, she had been waiting months to be able to talk to him. He didn’t have time for us! He was very rude!! If I could rate him a zero I would!!

Disappointed!! – Aug 11, 2019
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Myers?
Dr Myers refused care of my disabled daughter, and would not give us any explanation as to why. We waited 2 weeks after a hard seizure to get in to see him - since he'd cared for her previously - only to find out that he has refused to see her and now we're left hurrying to find someone who will.

Very competent physician. It’s hard to believe that some of these reviewers are talking about the same person I’m seeing. He is very capable and does an excellent job of explaining what’s going on with me and what his recommendations are. He’s bright, articulate and very easy to talk to. I guess he’s just not right for everyone.

This guy needs to retire. He’s incompetent. He made several insensitive remarks directly to me concerning my disorder. When it came to actually doing what he was paid for and reading an mri and offering treatment approaches, he never got around to it. Finally he had his office manager cancel my follow up appointment probably hoping to detach from future malpractice claims. What a joke of a “doctor “

First and foremost, if you go into the visit with a negative mindset, negative results will occur. I'm a very positive person and I was disturbed by all the negative reviews that this physician had. I want to say that Dr. Myers took his time with me and my issue was really embarrassing, therefore I wasn't sure how it would go, but I was super impressed with the outcome. He did research and spoke to me with kindness. It's very true, "Don't believe everything you read"! I'm very happy with my doc.

My one star is for the nice waiting room and Lynda, the super sweet lady that works in his office. However, every other aspect of my experience with Dr. Myers was awful. His bedside manner is terrible. He's rude, arrogant, unprofessional, demeaning, and judgmental. He doesn't listen to what you have to say. He sat on my diagnosis and I ended up in the hospital for a month instead of starting treatment. Then he dropped me as a patient when he found out.

Dr. Myers staff was very kind to me. But Dr. Myers himself has a terrible bedside manner, is very rude, and judgemental. I tried to look pass this because if he's a good Doctor and can help me then, great! He was not helpful at all. He talked down to me about something that had nothing to do with my appointment. He gave me no answers to my concerns and told me to see him again in 3 months with no treatment plan in the meantime. Not happening. Seeing him was a complete waste of my time.

I have been seeing Dr Myers for chronic migraines for over a year. He has done nothing to help other than to finally recommend me to a Headache Clinic within Texas Neurology. There, Dr Herzog explained what was happening with my head, and recommended several ways to go forward. Dr Myers either doesn't know what he is doing or just doesn't care. I wouldn't send anybody I know to him. Even his office staff is very Not my job oriented and not helpful at all.

Dr myers did not take my Seizure disorder seriously and refused to order any tests or look at any tests i had done in the past. He said it was all in my head. I then went to a different neurologist who gave me a three day EEG which showed a ton of seizures. I would never go back to this guy.
