Rory Anscombe is too controlling. He says he is in charge and I said no, we are here to have a doctor-patient relationship. He put me on lisdexamfetamine for my Adult Attention Deficit. First a low dose, then slowly increased to maximum dosage. My daughter as a qualified nurse said to get off it, so did the pharmacist as I became Obsessive-Compulsive, picked my skin apart as if I were on meth and developed a tick. He is condescending and when I told him the pharmacist said I could have a stroke as it didn't work with my other meds, he said 'What do pharmacists know!' Pompous reaction. He's a psycho-pharmacologist and should have checked the list of my medications. That was the last day I went to him and will never go back. He's not a good doctor.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Anscombe for several years for my depression. He is intelligent , professional, intuitive, and effective. Even more important to me, he is empathetic and caring. Also, he makes me work to help myself. No doctor can help you if you’re unwilling to help yourself. I am a much stronger person since I first saw Dr. Anscombe. My depression is under control, and is so much better. My life is so much better. We

Egotistical man who takes full advantage of the lack of prescribing physicians in his region. EVERYTHING is difficult with this man - scheduling, communicating, billing, etc. His bedside manner is deplorable - treating patients with disdain and making it clear that HIS time is WAY more important than is theirs. I only saw him for 1 year or so because my work took me to Gloucester, and my therapist at that time was also local. Once I changed jobs, I GLADLY left him.
