I had my first visit to Dr. Araujo's office yesterday. If you have something wrong with your feet by all means, see a podiatrist! The atmosphere in this office is one of caring, efficiency and fun! I would highly recommend this office!

Extremely painful shot in the heel. No compassion that I was in extreme pain or notified there was extreme pain involved. Bedside manner was very bad.

Dr Araujo performed foot surgery on my left foot to correct a hammer-toe and remove bone spurs. Prior to surgery, he clearly explained the procedure, how long I would be wearing a soft cast, possible complications and time to return to normal walking. The surgery went very smoothly, and post-operative pain was minimal. My recovery was identical to how he described. He is professional, articulate and compassionate. I highly recommend him to anyone contemplating foot surgery.

Dr. Araujo attempted a major reconstruction on an arthritic foot. A 2 hr procedure turned into 8. Patient should have been admitted due to age and for pain management but was sent home on oral pain meds. Of course, he doesn't have admitting privileges! After second day post-op toes were turning black. His response was that of excuses and saying he wasn't sure of the outcome. Upon leaving the office patient was taken to Birmingham and was treated by foot orthopedist who has seen this before. Sad.
