Dr. Robin Fintel, MD

I saw Dr. Fintel for 30 years and always thought she was wonderful with me (and I'm not always the easiest patient) and I thought she cared about me. She was actually my favorite doctor. Two years ago, as I approached age 65, she told me she accepted Traditional Medicare, and so I chose Traditional Medicare for my coverage plus a supplemental policy so that I could continue to see her once I turned 65. Yet the same year I turned 65, her office with no warning threw me under the bus; her very young, condescending staff, who could not have cared less that I had a 30-year relationship with Dr. Fintel, told me to use my internist for services Dr. Fintel used to provide; they refused to answer my phone calls and letters. Doctor Fintel did a great job Took great care of me

I planned to write this review nearly a year ago, but I'm so glad I waited until now to write it. I have been seeing Dr. Fintel for almost a year (Since October 2021) and I believe she is one of the most compassionate, if not THE most compassionate, and brilliant physician I've ever had in my entire life. Every single phone and in-person appointment I've had with her has been phenomenal. She takes time to listen to all of my concerns directly and indirectly related to my GI problems. Dr. Fintel has also considered my health problems outside of her field, when offering solutions or diagnoses as well. Her office staff is full of the most patient, charismatic and kind individuals I've ever encountered. Seriously. Just like Dr. Fintel, they take time to listen to each patient and genuinely ask how they are doing. They are also excellent about scheduling, following up and quickly bridging communication between patients and the physician. Dr. Robin Fintel gives thorough feedback and solutions with the utmost care. If I didn't live in Chicago, I would drive for hours just to see Dr. Fintel for care. This doctor showed no interest in offering any help except an unnecessary procedure. This visit was a terrible disappointment and waste of money.

Dr. Fintel has been my only gastroenterologist. She is excellent and I would recommend her highly, not only for her knowledge and skill, but also for her caring and humanity.

Dr Robin Fintel is a superb gastroenterologist. She has exceeded my expectations in her profession. She was very knowledgeable concerning my diagnosis and has me on the medication that has proven effectiveness. I would definitely recommend her.

I thought all the bad reviews were just people complaining b/c they had bad insurance. AVOID her at all cost. I showed up for an appointment once and no one checked me in/asked for ID - prescribed me a ridiculously expensive medication and I have good insurance. Read colonoscopy report that then when I got a second/third opinion both agreed she interpreted/read results wrong. She's aloof.

Dr. fintel is a caring and knowledgeable physician. I have seen her several times over the last 5 years and she has done five procedures for me. Recently she prescribed a medication that instantly helped my body heal and eliminated the chronic pain that I had been experiencing for several years. Her office team is responsive and caring. It has been easy to reschedule appointment s and to reach them by phone. Highly recommend dr.Fintel.

I would NEVER recommend this dr to anyone. I can't believe she is on staff at a hospital such as Northwestern. Does not pay attention to anything you say and she constantly kept getting up and walking out of the office stating she would be right back because she forgot something. Would not answer questions or concerns. Please stay away from her
