Dr. Robert Wygonski, DMD

My daughter with anxiety went to get her wisdom teeth out. Steps were not taken to ease her anxiety nor to cross check medication interactions. Literature about care was hand written on a paper vs. prepared printouts. The doctor was not forthcoming about issues from the extraction and kept me away. Follow up phone calls were short and dismissive. The follow up visit (which shouldn't be necessary if all goes well) revealed an infection. Again, it was treated as no big deal. Later, she needed to see another dentist only to find out she had dry socket which should have been fixed by Dr. W. at the follow up appointment when the infection was drained. Dr. Wygonski spent little time explaining the problem and said it was "fine" and would heal. He walked away without explanation. Thankfully, she found another dentist who had to perform another procedure to fix her potentially dangerous dry socket mess.

Not so great

I went to Dr. Wygonski for an extraction. Pretty simple procedure. There were no complications but while I was in the chair he made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Prior to my visit nobody had told me that payment in full was expected that day. I was going to make a payment plan and pay at least half that day . He struts in the room and makes a statement that “I guess I’m not gonna get paid today.” He also neglected to tell me that I needed to pre-medicate at my consult appointment. While he was trying to pull out another tooth, a piece that had been extracted by another oral surgeon but left a piece in, he came in and used his little hammer. The Novocain did not cover the pain that was involved. I cried out in pain and he told me shush there were other patients in this office. Goodbye Dr. Wygonski never ever going back to you.

Immediately have confidence in his ability. I have been in the Medical field and can pick up on how he communicated with his patients, I being one. Would recommend this Doctor to friends and family.

Hostile, unfriendly, and scary. He was not assuring and was not helpful in determining my diagnosis.

I had a fairly complicated extraction done today by Dr. Wygonski (under sedation). By evening I pretty much felt like I had not even had a dental visit that day. This i ascribe to the experience and skill of Dr. Wygonski. Having now been through 2 fairly complicated experiences with Dr. Wygonski, I would recommend him most highly and without qualification.

I have had several great experiences with doctor Wygonski. He explains things well and makes me feel at ease. He is the only one I will go to.

Had a very good experience with Dr. Wygonski. He and his staff were professional, compassionate, competent, thorough and had a good sense of humor. A definite recommendation from me!
