After meeting with Dr. Weisenthal and his team I felt very comfortable and at ease having him perform my cataract surgery. The surgery went well and it is so amazing to see clearly again. The Team at the Surgical Center made me feel comfortable with the warm blankets, head, neck, and shoulder massage. They explained everything as we went along. I highly recommend Dr. Weisenthal and his Team!

I developed a cataract in one eye during my pregnancy. Early cataracts run in my family and I was overwhelmed and scared upon diagnosis and learning that only surgery would correct it. Dr. W was more compassionate than the first ophthalmologist I saw and did a good job explaining the anatomy and procedure. He did cataract surgery in one eye and lasik in the other. I read about both procedures extensively and was still uncertain that this would correct my vision. Low and behold, I can see great without contacts or glasses for the first time in 25 years. Dr. W even called me the night of surgery both times to see how I was recovering. He's a great, caring doctor.

I’m 64 years old and has failing vision due to cataracts and a very bad astigmatism in one eye. That bad eye had 20/200 vision. One week after Dr. Weisenthal performed cataract surgery, I had 20/15 vision ! He’s an amazing surgeon second to none in the Central NY region. I couldn’t be happier with the personalized care I received from CNY Eye Care. They have a systematic approach between their office in Dewitt and the Specialty Surgery Center in Liverpool. Nothing was missed in between the two locations. The nurses and assistants were tremendous. I couldn’t be happier with the care I received.

Dr. Weisenthal has been treating my eyes for approximately 20 years. First, with successful PRK surgery that provided me near perfect vision for 20 years, and second, with successful cataract surgery that has restored my vision. I would highly recommend him and his office for any vision services and procedures.

I am 65 years old and recently had cataract surgery done by Dr. Weisenthal. I was able to get an appointment within weeks vs. months from another doctor. He had surgery completed for both eyes (monofocal lens for near sighted correction) within 2 weeks. Amazing how quick the surgery was (10 minutes), home within 3 hours. Could see the change right away. White balance was "colder", more true white, compared to the natural len's warmer white balance. Vision detail improvement was incredible, like going from VHS to 4K video. I could see details I don't ever remember seeing - i.e, blades of grass, hair strands on my dog. Night driving was no longer a problem. Only negative after affect are some "floaters" that should eventually go away. I only briefly saw Dr. Weisenthal but he was thorough, quick and professional. Staff was very accomodating. He runs a pretty smooth operation. I would suggest reading up on cataracts to bring questions for the appointments.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes at the end of 2021/beginning of 2022. Previously I had Lasik 20years ago, so I had a more involved process than otherwise. I paid extra for the Vivity lenses. Dr. Weisenthal nailed it by expertly selecting and installing lenses that give me excellent sight both far and near. Gone are the reading glasses in every room of my house, as well as all my pockets, and in my office, car and shed too! I gathered them all up and they filled a basket. The surgery itself was painless and quick and well orchestrated at the surgery center (also excellent). The recovery for me, while ininvolved, was very do-able and unremarkable. It's all well worth it to have new eyes at 56! Thank You Dr. Weisenthal.
