Higl disappointed
I felt very unimportant. I think my visit lasted all of seven minutes. I was referred by ent for dizziness and unsteady gait. I emphasized that I was becoming more and more afraid of falling. He had me walk about six feet to the door and back. When he saw that my EMG revealed neuropathy, he told me that there was no cure(which I already knew). Then he received a call and told the caller to wait a second. Then the visit was over. He returned to his call and I left, still not having any kind of answer to my unsteady gait and fear of falling. Can't remember when I felt so marginalized. Will not be going back.

He was in the room for maybe 3 minutes. Stuck my leg with a needle about 3 times and when there was a noticeable issue while trying to read the nerves in my leg he said “I don’t know why this thing does this.” He was kind but seemed a little unprofessional. I didn’t get much information and that seems to be a trend..

Wouldn’t recommend
He didn’t spend that much time with me at either appointments. He did an EMG today which seems to have been unnecessary and then said to make another appointment to figure out the real problem with my feet. I don’t have confidence that he will address my concerns. Disappointing visit today. I t will cost be $280 to see him for 5 minutes. He seems like a nice guy. So was his assistant but not helpful.

My experience with Dr Varipapa was very good. He diagnosed my problem immediately and accurately. He immediately ordered extensive testing which proved his diagnosis to be exact and no more treatment necessary. I would definitely return to him for future services.

I agree Dr Varipapa seems detached and uninterested in helping his patients. I told him I could not take NSAIDS due to my stomach problem, but he gave them to me anyway. It took 4 days for my stomach and intestines to go back to normal. On my follow up visit he said you look good have a good summer. He seems to think that if you look ok you should feel ok. I told him how I look has nothing to do with how I feel. I recommend Dr. Penny, he's GREAT. He listens to his patients.

He seems uninterested in the patients. He has chosen to ignore 90% of my symptoms and chose to focus on 1 even after I explained it is not causing the worst or most frequent pain, after 1 MRI. I need a doctor who at least acknowledges symptoms more thoroughly before deciding on a diagnosis. Also I have experienced, and witnessed with other patients, a strong tendency with the doctor and their staff to disregard or discourage patients asking for more information about treatments & diagnoses.

I developed a condition that had neuro side effects along with pain (RA). Had an abnormal MRI Brain which he ordered a slew of tests which did not resolve the abnormality nor identified it. Still has it. He has no problem ordering tests and MRI's even though there is no change. When I questioned why he basically said don't worry about it, last visit I had new side symptoms, he blew off my questions, said you look good have a good summer. I left there in tears. Staff was like nothing to cry abou

He did not care to see what was wrong with me. He spoke to me as if I were a toddler and made me feel as if what I was experiencing was not worthy of his time. He only agreed to further my treatment if it would make me feel better. As if my concern for my health was not warranted. Horrible experience, so fortunate I never have to see him again.

Seen him 2 times. Will not go back. Could not figure out problem. Seemed to get angry with me because He said I shouldn't have pain where I do after doing 1 MRI. Did no other tests. Very cold, no compassion, no patience. Does not want to 'find' problem. Too much work for him. Appears to be in it for money, not the patients. I say this because he complained to ME that my insurance, Aetna, does not pay him enough for his time and tests. That should not be his or my concern. My health should be.

From what I've read in other reviews and my own experiences it seems that if He is treating something that has a cure, or at least a treatment that works to help manage, people consider him mostly a good doctor. As for everyone who has a problem that has no cure or no definite treatment, then I've noticed in their reviews the same experience we received. He is detached, uninterested, doesn't put in a real effort and makes decisions without consulting the patient or family. Wasting any time left.
