My mother, his patient, broke her hip and has gone into rehabilitative care. It took over THREE WEEKS for him to respond to our calls and arrange an appointment. Since then, more than TWO WEEKS, he has still not provided the necessary paperwork for her medication, despite the medical director's continued request to simply update the paperwork so the facility can issue her medication. I would not recommend him.

I found Dr. Tolentino very responsive to my needs. He answered all questions and made appropriate referrals. He has a wonderful patient manner and is not condescending or abrupt. For future appointments, I will always request Dr. Tolentino.

Dr Tolentino was great while my heath needs were relatively normal. However I developed several chronic conditions over 18 months which went unexplained. Even after a diagnosis of Congestive Heart Failure from two different hospitals, he didn't order any tests of his own and dismissed the hospital findings. He would not even give me a referral to a Cardiologist. I found out upon arrival for a scheduled appointment that "I had been "bumped" two months ago," and that he was no longer my PCP.

He was my pcp, until this happened. I told him I was having health issues, & begged for blood work to be ordered, & instead he said it was my weight & laziness causing the problem. I finally found a doctor who would order the blood work, & found out I DID have health issues. The results were sent back to Tolentino, & when I begrudgingly returned to his office for treatment, he shrugged at my diagnosis & started my meds at a high level, almost giving me a stroke, which I'm very susceptible to.

While I found Dr. Tolentino to be acceptable, I have never been able to schedule an appointment with him since my first appointment back in March of 2016. The nurse practitioner he has was far from being efficient at doing the basics of an Annual Physical. Dr. Tolentino, if you were to be available to service your existing clients I would stay - as that doesn't seem to be the case, I am changing insurance providers specifically so I can find am doctor that is available when I need them.
