Dr. Robert Stoffer, MD

Dr. Stoffer's billing company made mistakes on my bills. The latest: I saw him 6/15/20 and the bill was $107.78. The company sent me a bill for $47.33, which I paid. I knew it was wrong but figured they would catch their mistake and send a bill for the remainder. Instead..they completely ignored the payment and billed me for the entire amount. I have a bank copy of the check for 47.33 with the billing company's endorsement readable. On one bill they noted they had received my 47.33 but they didn't subtract it from the total. I have been squabbling with the billing company for weeks and now Stoffer says I have to pay the entire amount, even though he has seen copies of the cancelled check and bill stating they received the 47.33. This is not acceptable or honest.

My mother started seeing Dr. Stoffer in 2014 and is very happy with him. He does very well at coordinating all her medications from other doctors as well as from him. I recently took Mom to see him for what we thought was a cold. He recommended I take her to the hospital because her oxygen saturation level was very low. Turns out she had pneumonia and sepsis. He takes very good care of my mother.

Couldn't give negative stars. Wouldn't give me a referral to a specialist whom I need to see immediately because he was "outside of the (insurance) network"! What do I do when I get a compound fracture on my ski trip to Colorado...limp back to Arizona for someone Inside the network?! I have the right to be seen by Any doctor, regardless of network status, provided they are willing to see me and, if necessary, provide care or service for me If we can reach agreement on my providing payment!!!
