Doesn't put the needs of the patient first
I had been seeing Steadman for several years for migraine treatment, which included injections. Steadman appears to be a knowledgeable. The wait can be extended if you don't have the day's first appointment. The major problem is St Mary's office staff and administration. There is constant turnover in the office, and the staff is rude and will make up answers to get you off the phone. The information they pass on to the patients is incorrect, which can significantly affect their care. Calling the office to make an appointment was an ordeal. There was an employee who purposely made up things, started an argument, and used foul language. After relaying the incident to Steadman, nothing changed. Steadman would ramble on about subjects that had nothing to do with your care to lengthen the appointment. Steadman fosters this attitude of not wanting to deal with patients. Steadman has no backbone and quivers to the staff over the patient's well-being. See another doctor.

Great doctor. Terrible time management
I have visited him many times. Many excuses for being late. I have waited 1/2 hour to well over an hour waiting to see him. Might be acceptable with exception that all my appointments were first or second of the day. They have a nice sigh stating that to keep things moving you need to check in before appointment time or they might reschedule you. Been at lest 15 minutes or more before appointment. Did not matter.

Computer, not patient
When he came into the exam room, he did not greet, but sat entire time at his computer. When I said we would not return, he said, “You have to or you won’t get prescription refills. “ He was rude and not thorough with an exam.

Dr. Steadham has some excellent qualities that are rare in a neurologist...he is very personable, intelligent and thoughtful and does not jump to conclusions about anything. He is also willing to listen without interrupting, which is incredibly rare for any doctor. However, when he referred me out he threw me to the wolves and set me up to be treated like a crazy person. I know for a fact, his staff kept sending my referral to the wrong fax number which caused months worth of delays. The office manager lied about it and denied it saying that "fax machines are not our friends." Communication going through staff to Dr. Steadham has been difficult, and the responses I would get varied from being disheartening, insulting, or downright absurd. The one who answers portal messages for him would send really bizarre responses and was downright hostile to me on the phone. I like Dr. Steadham but his staff is horrible. Go elsewhere if you can.

Dr Steadham prescribed a medication that has an ingredient that causes bad side effects in my son, which was brought to his attention. He ignored it and my son had tremors, memory loss, couldn't void, and two burn marks. Nurse was called he called in script with same stuff in it which was refused. 2nd visit offered clinical trial with same ingredient-refused! So instead of trying to think outside of the box he passed him off to pain management.
