Dr. Ryu is very knowledgeable, personable and has a great manner. He treats patients like meaningful people and listens to concerns. Answers questions in an understandable way.

I have undergone two separate procedures by Dr Ryu and both outcomes have been successful. He's explains thing to your satisfaction and his staff is always responsive to questions. I'm very happy to have found Dr Ryu

Drs. Robert Ryu and David Lawrence performed lumbar fusion with anterior and posterior access. I did not want surgery but my legs and back needed relief. A month after surgery, my legs froze and I could not walk. A diagnosis of severe sepsis followed. After five days in hospital and 2-1/2 months in rehab I am still in physical therapy to learn to walk without assistance and drive. Now back pain has returned. Avoid back surgery at all cost. The doctors may talk a good game but don’t pay attention to glorified outcomes.The complication warnings the doctors give are true and could happen to you. Beware!

An excellent surgeon. He is knowledgeable and thorough. He helped me understand the surgery with kindness. I trusted him completely. In addition, my family truly appreciated his complete explanation of my surgery and how well it went, while waiting to see me. His bedside manner to me afterwards was kind and encouraging also. Dr. Ryu is an excellent doctor and surgeon, he put everything up front on the table to me didn't beat around the bush with anything. When it comes time for surgery and he said that you know there's always complications to it gave me all the down fulls to the surgery, surgery turned out very. Lot of my problems start subsiding immediately after surgery. Moreover for me meeting him for the very first time sitting in the room talking about my issues he said if you want to have a second opinion you're more than welcome to do so, to me a doctor willing to give up a possible client for a second opinion says a lot about the Dr. You don't come across doctors like that much anymore these days. By my surprise next morning dr. Ryu personally gave me a phone call, to check up on me and see how I was doing. Hands down I highly recommend him, he has great character.
