Quality, Comfort, Care
Dr. Perovich and staff (shout-out to Jacqui) are amazing at what they do. I'm always able to get them on the phone right away, and they go above and beyond to get patients what they need to ensure that they feel comfortable and well cared for. I've been with them for almost a decade and feel very fortunate to have found their practice.

Highly recommend
I have been seeing Dr. Perovich for over 5 years and I couldn’t recommend him enough. He listens to your needs and helps you figure out a treatment plan without being dismissive like most psychiatrists. The front office staff is helpful and a pleasure to talk to. Front office staff and Dr. Perovich respond very quickly if you have any questions concerns or needs.

I started seeing Dr Perovich over 20 years ago, when I accompanied my husband for bipolar treatment. Because of his demeanor, intelligence and compassion, I started seeing him for major depression and anxiety. Dr Perovich, and his wonderful office manager, Jacquie, are always willing to assist. He has seen and helped me through some very difficult times, so I could function and support myself. I moved away for a few years and neglected my mental health, to my detriment. I called up the office and was happily welcomed back. I am grateful to Dr. Perovich for saving my life.

On my initial visit his questions were more like interrogation. He was hostile. It was a horrible experience.

I'd recommend getting a second opinion or quite possibly a third, depending on who you go to next. He does not listen well, and is very quick to assume and label. Should you experience any side effects from a particular medication, and the side effects aren't known, or "known" to him, he is quite dismissive and abrupt and gets extraordinarily defensive. After a few visits, I did not return. If you are seeing this doctor for weeks or even months and do not notice any progress, do yourself a favor and consider getting a second opinion. Also, you should never feel worse and most importantly feel invalidated by your psychiatrist. Hopefully he finds a therapist and can work through his anger issues instead of taking it out on his patients.

I honestly can't understand the negative reviews other than these are from patients that are beyond help. I found Dr. Perovich to be a very kind, down to earth, normal kind of guy with high education, experience and understanding. The staff was terrific and I left his office with a big 'ol smile. His assistant Jennifer (who did my initial assessment) was absolutely the BEST. Friendly, completely understanding, professional, funny, and made me feel right at home. I left feeling like we were best friends. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Perovich and his staff. Highly recommended.

Rude, cold, the worst. And to think he deals with people who need kindness the most. It's not just clinical....

An extraordinarily disinterested Dr who. Specifically, after Dr Perovich submitted outright illogical nonsense on an insurance approval form for a brand name (stating the the need for the brand name at a higher and longer acting dosage was needed because a lower dose/shorter acting generic form of that drug gave me insomnia), he stated he would prefer to prescribe a normal than higher dose rather than deal with insurance company. Unfortunately, that dose increased seizure risk significantly.

Dr. perovich is rude and untrustworthy. I spoke to this doctor about my depressed son and ask him not to mention what we spoke about because it would upset my son and what does this doctor do! Tells my son our whole conversation and now my son wont trust anyone including me. And this doctor is rude and not at all friendly! He makes you feel rushed and he interrupts when you are talking.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Perovich?
I have been seeing Dr. Perovich for the past year. He became my doctor after moving from another state. I had been taking medication to manage my anxiety for several years. After some lifestyle adjustments, I felt confident that I no longer needed daily medication & decided to begin tapering off. Dr. Perovich helped me come off my medication, but his brash demeanor & poor bedside manner made the experience unpleasant and unnecessarily difficult. He could benefit from some sensitivity training.

I believe Dr Perovich is very capable. I had to go see several psychiatrists (some were absolutely terrible) to find him. Even after my insurance changed, I now pay for his appointments out of pocket to stay with him.
