Uncaring
I've only been seeing Dr. Oliva for a short time, but in that time he has never once examined me for anything. He's never listened to my breathing, my heart, nothing. Even when I went to him for an injury he still didn't look at it. He just ordered tests and wrote a prescription and sent me on my way. He also argued with me about which part of my body was hurting. He once wrote me a prescription for something else unrealated to the injury based on my description of my symptoms instead of checking to make sure he had the correct diagnosis. Everything is based on the symptoms I tell him I'm having instead of an actual exam. He doesn't seem to care about me as a person, he just rushes me out of the room as quickly as he came in. He's not a very caring person and I don't recommend him.

Worst health care professional that I've encountered in the 39 years that I've been here. He doesn't call with lab/test results. I had labs done in Jan 2019 and as of today 5/8/19 I have not received a call regarding my results. I've called the office for the past 3 days 5/6/19 - 5/8/19 and left several messages for his office assistant Evelyn. When she returned my call on the 3rd day at 2:55 in the afternoon she went on to advise that my results were "normal". When I advised her that the testing center sent me a letter advising that my labs were "abnormal" and that I needed to follow up with my physician, she suggested that she has no idea why. Put me on a brief hold and returned stating that It was "tucked away in the back of my file". She further went on to suggest the my physician was on vacation until Tuesday 5/14/19 and of the 4 physicians in the office no one else could write up orders for me to have follow up labs done. WTH?!! This is unacceptable!

He is not a comfortable fit for me. I need a doctor who will be in a partnership with me about my health issues. By partnership I mean I need a physician who I believe heard what I said and when my physician offers a new plan of action has a good explanation as to why he believes we should go in the new direction.

I went to this joke of a doctor back in March. He was horribly condescending, and was discriminating against me because of having a disability. He was way too comfortable with how he spoke to me, so something tells me that I am not the first patient he spoken to like this. He should not be able to practice medicine. I wouldn't refer anyone to him ever

Dr. Oliva is very passionate and knowledgeable about Internal Medicine. He strives to practice the best medicine for each patient. Dr. Oliva genuinely cares for each patient and listens well to all health related issues. He makes a great team with his smart, caring, and beautiful wife, Dr. Adela Oliva, for all husband and wife patients. They both love what they do, have dedicated their lives to Internal Medicine, and to promote health. I would highly recommend Dr. Robert Oliva to any patient.

He is by the far the worst doctor I have ever seen. He is clueless and doesn't want to understand the patient and the problem. He just talks at you. He doesn't get it. I have no confidence with him as a doctor at all and would never tell any of my friends and family to see him.
