This doctor completely dropped the ball and my husbands life has been forever altered. My husband was critically injured in a head on collision. He was brought to Trauma and O'Conner was part of his trauma team. His chest was crushed and hemorraging, his patella displaced, his ankle broken in several places, and his femur crushed into multiple pieces. There was no orthopedic surgeon on staff, so they trauma team, this doctor included allowed my husband to lie prone for 24 hours disoriented on narcotics as they searched for an orthopedic surgeon that could do such an advanced surgery as we hoped to save his leg. We begged to be flown to a hospital with a better level of care and surgeons but we were refused. Blot clots were forming in my husbands severely injured leg but the trauma team were not concerned and unaware. The clot traveled to his heart stopping oxygen and causing a brain deficit. Ankle never evaluated an now he can't walk.

I have never in my life met such a caring wonderful doctor. From his skill to his bedside manner. He listens and he understands. He saved my daughter's life when she was in a horrific car accident. I know in my heart if it were not for him and his fast thinking to put a balloon in her body to stop her bleeding she would be dead. Thank You Dr. O'Connor III, I will never forget what you did for my daughter.

I had to have thoracic spine surgery. The location of my problem was in a critical area of my thoracic spine. Dr. Plakas and Dr. Lin said they had a general surgeon on hand incase incision needed to be made bigger and/or if I would need a chest tube put in that Dr. O'Connnor was with them. This had been my sixth major spine surgery and as always I was told I could be paralyzed. Thank you to these very skilled, educated and patient care. I am doing better and once again, not paralyzed.
