Dr. Oakes was highly recommended by my primary physician. I was not disappointed! He lived up to his reputation as a highly competent, compassionate, and humble physician. I knew I was in good hands. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing his specialty.

Dr. Oakes took my surgery when the scheduled surgeon in another town cancelled. I am convinced that this was most fortunate. Dr. Oakes, indeed everyone who assisted on my surgery, was careful, considerate, and caring. I have a lot of admiration for Dr. Oakes, especially after reading about him. Great man, great hospital.

Dr. Oakes and his staff put me at easy when explaining my open heart surgery. He was kind and compassionate. He was very willing to answer any questions and didn't act like I was taking too much of his time. He also took the time to talk to and meet with all of my family after surgery. He stopped in my room every day while in the hospital, which included both weekend days. He seems to be extremely committed to his profession and his patients.

A competent doctor with a genuinely compassionate human side who only wants the best for his patients. Even though my stepfather did not survive his heart surgery, Dr. Oakes went above and beyond the standard of care.
