Dr. Robert Novo, DO

The previous reviewer is not referring to Dr Novo the anesthesiologist. She/he is referring to a dermatologist by the same name. Dr. Robert F. Novo, Anesthesiologist, potentially saved my daughter’s life before an urgent surgery by identifying a need for a completely different anesthesia plan than the hospital called for. The planned anesthesia has the potential to trigger a very dangerous complication with my daughter’s rare genetic condition. Dr. Novo went to great lengths to revise the plan, and overhaul the surgery procedures, meds and equipment. We are eternally thankful that he was aware of her rare condition, and took steps to make sure her procedure could take place while ensuring a safe and successful outcome for my daughter. He also provided us with a wealth of information regarding this underlying risk of which we were not even aware of.

My 26-year-old daughter had acne scars on her face and, after checking online, I convinced her to see Dr Novo. She told her the scars were easy to improve and she went through a peeling-laser treatment with her. Very little information was given to her before or after. She lives now out of town, and after 6 months, her face looks so much worse. Her acne came back (after years), and although my daughter called Dr Novo several times for a virtual appointment, the assistant would just tell her to go see a dermatologist or to fly back for an appointment. We were extremely disappointed by her inefficiency and her lack of communication. I would not recommend Dr Novo to anyone.
