They don't make Doctors like this anymore. Dr.Mtichell sat down to both hear and jot down my sx hx. He asked detailed questions heard my concerns and returned to the room with a solid plan of action. I felt respected through and through and would recommend this provider to anyone seeking a GI specialist. *Also worth noting, I am a woman, and he had to do a brief physical exam. Without me asking he had a female nurse/hcp assist in the exam and had a gown to cover my personal parts. He maintained professionalism from beginning to end.

Called on referral from primary care, from top doctor at VA Physicians for colonoscopy. Office manager advised that even though my previous doctor Almond had retired, they wouldn't see me if it had been less that 10 years. Suggested I see someone in the previuos practice,. How arrogant & condescending can these people be? Would definitely not recommend this practice!!!!!

Awesome Doctor!!
Dr.Mitchell is everything you would want in a Dr, he's empathetic, explains everything to you, kind, on time, compassionate and an overall great Dr. The office staff is also great. I've been going to Dr. Robert for 30+ yrs. He's the best. Theresa Bailey

Great Doctor
I had my first appointment with Dr. Mitchell today. What a delightful and knowledgeable doctor he is! On some issues, it was almost as if he read my mind. I don't think I have ever visited such a calm and peaceful office. Everyone was very kind. I'm sure my endoscopy will go as smoothly as my visit today.

I agree with everyone on here!! Dr. Robert Mitchell is EXCELLENT! Hands down! He's been my Gastro doctor for ~10 years and is the most caring, friendly, personable, kindest doctor I've ever been to. Equally important, he knows what he’s doing- I 100% trust his opinions, treatment plans, and skills. The entire staff at the office is phenomenal, as well. Attentive, informative, patient, caring, personable, and gentle. Everyone who works there should be proud of themselves for the compassion and excellent, thorough care they provide to our community. Thank you, Dr. Mitchell and Staff. You are all wonderful!

I have been going to Dr. Robert Mitchell for about 12 years. Have had numerous colonoscopies as well as an endoscopy performed by him. He is a very soft spoken, caring, gentle man. I would highly recommend him.

First time I had met Dr Mitchell (he was referred by my PCP Dr David Keith Crossen.) I have interstitial cystitis with sever bladder retention. It is super hard to find a doctor that is very understanding & caring. He helped toward getting me through this colonoscopy screening as fast as he was able to. It used to be no problem for me; but now because of this painful bladder & other painful personal areas this simple procedure is just pure torture to me from start to days later because of the “IC” flare it causes. Having severe bloating, painful pressure, burning and stabbing pains in areas we can’t talk about. He has a real bedside manner and his kindness & humor was enlightening & helped to distract the amount of pain I was in as I was trying to just bite my bottom lip & keep a smile on my face during this most uncomfortable painful procedure. I too try to use humor-talk alot to help keep myself distracted from all my painful symptoms. Thank you Dr Mitchell & the team of nurses!

Dr. Robert Mitchell was amazing during my first appointment. He sat with me 45 minutes discussing the issues I’ve been having for almost two years. I cried when I left the office because I have been suffering for so long and other GI doctors brushed me off and made me feel like my issues weren’t serious. I have a family history of colon cancer and he took that seriously when others did not. He agreed to schedule me for a colonoscopy without hesitation. He has put my mind at ease and I just know I’m in good hands. I thank God my Rheumatologist recommended him.
