Dr. Robert Miller, MD

Dr. Miller is a wonderful and very caring doctor. I feel he's the very best opthamologist I've been to in my 66 years on this earth and I've been to some very talented eye doctors. He always took his time with me and made sure I understood everything. I had so many vision issues and he truly helped me see much better. My insurance changed and I also moved from the area for several years so I did seek out a new doctor in the Bay Area. Then when I moved back to Davis I called his office to make an appointment and was horrified to find out he had retired. He is a superb physician. In addition, his personality is lovely........which always made my appointments something I looked forward to. Dr. Miller is definately one of the best!

He is rude and abnoxious. He was discussing my results with his assistant, I asked what he meant. He said “I think you have “learned” that I will explain things later. I dont know when would I have “learned” that since it was the first time I saw him. I tried to repeat what he had explained to make sure I understood. He interrupted me and said “ you have not heard what I said”. At the end of the visit he asked me if he had treated me with respect. I found that question strange. Go elsewhere

After waiting for an hour and a half, I found Dr. Miller to be extremely flippant and rude. He immediately fired off questions about why we were there and it felt like an interrogation. We were there on a referral from our child's pediatrician. I felt like we were wasting his time and he did little to reassure us that our child was ok. I would never recommend this doctor to speak with worried parents, horrible bedside manner.

I have had many experiences with Dr Miller starting with his beginnings in the Woodland Clinic..Loved him from the start as he went above and beyond on my eye appointments...He was always caring and thorough...For several years I resided in another state and returned to Dr Miller when visiting the area... He eventually suggested I get a local opthalmologist...None like him... I moved back to the area and again have him as my doctor... I have complete competence in his caring and care.

Difficulty or inability getting responses to questions regarding my eye conditions. Has difficulty listening to my concerns. Does not explain my medical conditions thoroughly and does not appear to have interest in my questions given they are ignored.

I would highly recommend Dr. Miller for LASIK surgery. He and his staff members are professional, explained the procedure clearly, and answered all of my questions. His eye exams are thorough. I had a very positive experience.
