Dr McKay was very informative during my visits prior to surgery and made sure all my questions, even those I didn’t know to ask, were answered. I feel very comfortable with his knowledge and recommendations.

I wasn’t sure I wanted to go through with the pain and months of rehab and healing it takes to recover. Dr. McKay took the time to thourghly explain the surgery and I felt comfortable and had the surgery. His bedside manner is great and he is obviously a talented surgeon.

I was seen for severe osteoarthritis of the right shoulder. Dr. McKay was incredibly professional laced with great humor and provided an incredible feeling of confidence with his medical diagnostic skills and judgment. Very impressed and grateful for his care.

I saw him in office to follow up on a rotator cuff that has been trouble some. Knowledgeable and professional! He treats you like a good friend or family member. His bedside manner is impeccable. He insured that my care was not just a number but an investigation of the root cause of my pain. I can not recommend him enough!

Dr. McKay is a very good listener, he answers my questions in full, he never seems in a hurry, I feel he puts my needs at the top of his list. After all that, he is a fine surgeon.

Not much else to add to the title. I have zero complaints and only more compliments. I had a complicated shoulder repair that turned into more than was originally expected. I am back to 100% range of motion and now working on the rebuilding strength portion of recovery with zero set backs. Not 1 infection, and was never left without and answer to any questions I had.

Dr. McKay, from the very first time I saw him, he provided a clear description of my issue and allowed me to ask questions. He understood SIRVA where others don't know what or is. He really listens. I love the YouTube videos for shoulder surgeries also.I was fully informed of what would be done during surgery and that some things may not need to be done. My surgery outcome was better than anticipated.

Dr McKay is the real deal. If you are in a quandary as to which surgeon you should see regarding rotator cuff surgery, search no further. Dr McKay is simply the best. My experience prior to finding him was frustrating. I saw one specialist who explained the X-rays, gave me cortisone shots in both shoulders and sent me to PT, which was all good. But then with the cortisone I had false feelings of improvement and feel as though I caused more harm than good. Six months later, this surgeon moved. I eventually found a surgeon who performed surgery but couldn't fix it. He told me I'd have to get a reverse shoulder replacement.God intervened in the form of a dear friend, my husband, and our mail lady. Word got back to me through a mysterious Email that I should get a second opinion from a Dr. Trent McKay. I saw him, he said he could fix it, explaining in detail how. 3 months later, my shoulder is on the road to being normal again. God, through Doc McKay, has worked a miracle!

Absolutely amazed at the thoroughness of his issue analyses, explanations and corrective actions. I have had both shoulders replaced and the one performed by Dr. McKay was seemingly perfect.

I have been going to Olympia orthopedic clinic since 1990. I started with Dr. Helpin, then Dr. Manista. I met with Dr. McKay on Monday for a follow-up appointment on the issues in my left shoulder and like all the other doctors through this clinic he made me feel very comfortable... He explained to me what the options were for treatment And even told me there might be a need for further Investigation.... I would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone... I like it so much that I drive from Renton Washington down to Olympia Washington for my appointments..
