Dr. Mahanti took several phone calls during my visit, many were personal, which caused him to lose focus and lengthened my visit. He acted surprised that I didn't have prism glasses for my eye condition so I asked if he could prescribe them. His response was"They are a pain to measure and a pain to order so put off getting them for a while longer".

Status post right cataract extraction and IOL placement. I have been a Critical Care Registered Nurse (ER/ICU Flight) for over 35 years and thus tend to be acutely aware of patient management and accepted practices. I am quite impressed with the professionalism and consistency with which Dr. Mahanti's team managed to achieve productivity goals without dehumanization.. It started with the initial contact, which was expertly handled by Ellie who comfortably explained the results of the assessment and possible interventions. I was provided with a detailed, well-thought out pre/post procedure checklist that addressed any questions/concerns I might have generated. My wife is a Nursing Educator and agreed that the patient education provided was first-rate and significantly assuaged any pre-procedure anxiety. The actual procedure was seamless and managed as well as I have ever experienced down to the simple actions that are often overlooked in a busy practice. I strongly recommend them.

As an update to my earlier complaint regarding service, Dr. Mahanti has reached out to both my daughter and myself to requesting information to address concerns that we had. I appreciate the followup simply because he was under no obligation to do so and will be reaching out to him this week.

Dr Mahanti is the consummate professional. Extremely competent, efficient,very well managed office, all experiences are timely. Over 6 years seeing him . A great attribute is feeling he genuinely cares about the patient and gives his best for them. Confidence in a doctor and sensing their concern is very important. Significant eye issues were diagnosed correctly and to validate them Dr Mahanti called for a consultation with another specialist. You trust him, I do. Great to have him in Flagstaff

Dr. Mahanti performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. I was barely able to see out of my left eye due to a very well-developed cataract. I was unable to drive and my peripheral vison was nonexistent. After the surgery, which was quick and totally painless, my vision and peripheral vision was completely restored; same for the right eye a week later. I was amazed. I would recommend Dr. Mahanti and his great staff to anyone. Very satisfied.

Needing cataract surgery? Dr. Mahanti is a consummate professional, excellent surgeon (confirmed by the retinal specialist I met with there) as well as an ophthalmologist with impeccable standards. His staff offers excellent and highly skilled care as well, going the extra mile so the patient obtains good results. I recently had a pterygium (a benign growth on the eyeball) removed by Dr. Mahanti. I am extremely impressed with his abilities as well as his staff. Dr. Mahanti is a true professional and I'd recommend his services to anyone needing eye care.

He and his staff have that rare, ideal mixture of expertise and the human touch. The best opthalmologist I have ever seen (in many decades).
