He performed ovarian surgery on me and mesh on my bladder. Soon after I saw another Dr how said as she examined me - 'Who did this to you? before I could respond she asked 'Who did this to you, was it Dr Lobel?'Years later still having many issues. Please be wary!!!! I put a similar review up a few years ago and it was removed!!!

Great, but does rush you
Dr. Lobel is a wonderful doctor who really knows his stuff. I think sometimes his quick judgment of a patient's issue can come off as not caring, but I also think that he it is because he is so knowledgeable and has seen so many of the same issues so many times that he can diagnose them almost instantly. Sometimes I do think he could listen better, but I think if his patients told him to slow down and explain things better, I really think he would. I think he is a very smart doctor, and I trust him. This is the most important thing to me. If he isn't paying enough attention to me, I'm not going to let him get away with it and will insist he slow down. He knows what he is doing, and I don't think a lot of doctors do so I'm sticking around. AND the staff is also excellent

He has a double personality! Really nice yet rude!
Dr. Lobel comes highly recommended, and he was extremely nice and informative on our first visit. However, I do not think he is a good listener. I had had previous spine surgery that left me partially paralyzed in the area of my body that would sit on a saddle, called “Cauda Equina”. I was recommended to go to him for my numerous U.T.I.’s. At that time I was able to urinate on my own. I do not think he took this into consideration, and had a whole list of what he wanted to do. After the surgery (three different procedures) I am still using a foley and still having U.T.I.s. His staff are wonderful and really run the show. He is always in surgery and six weeks later with weekly appointments to check my foley, I have only seen him once. I am hoping he did not cause me more paralysis and in time I will feel better. But as of now, I don’t. So it is hard to say I would recommend him. He may be able to help you.

Doesn’t listen
He subjected me to many tests. Then decided I should have surgery. I said I wasn’t sure and needed time to think. He overrode my concerns and deposited me with his scheduler. I left and never returned. The problem was resolved with exercise.

Would give him 10 stars if I could. He sees the whole patient and does not focus just on presenting issue. I wish he could be primary care doc. He is so easy to talk with and does not have the typical “Dr” ego. His office staff are great, he runs a very efficient office but with so much care. He has walked me out to reception every time, like I am a guest in his home. Never feel rushed when he is with you.

Stay away from him. I went for prolapse surgery and he did a hysterectomy! He never told my daughter or myself after surgery! I went 3 days then saw it on hospital paperwork that i requested! Violated!! I saw my own OBGYN in July everything was great! Can you imaging I did not need or request a hysterectomy. He never said it would happen! He went out of the country sfter my surgery. He had other things on his mind! So blown away!!!!!!!!!!!

He has a great mannerism, but doesn’t listen to what a patient really wants. I suffer from severe incontinence and all he wants to do is the stim device which doesn’t work for me but I guess that I am stuck with it. He only wants to tweak it and I am not interested, which I have repeatedly said.

Fantastic doctor, very knowledgeable. Smartest doctor I've ever met. Operated on me for a complicated operation with success. Regular gyno wouldn't touch this operation and referred me (thankfully to Dr. Lobel).
