20 years ago I was misdiagnosed by NW and University of Chicago doctors. Dr. Kany discovered over 40 polyups in my sinus cavity, removed them and changed my life. 98% blockage and 100% blockage made breathing and life very difficult. 18 years later I still am free of the polyups thanks to yearly check ups with Dr. Kany and have a great. Healthy life. I truly can never repay Dr. Kany for the gift of a quality life and ability to breath that other doctors could not give me. Thank you Dr. Kany for the past 18 years.

Saw him today with a potential serious issue that has been mishandled by another doc. Dr. Kany was wonderful in listening to my issue and although very professional, he was also very personal and caring. He immediately sensed my anxiety over the issue and allayed my fears quickly and conclusively.

Worst Experience Ever!
Dr. Kany is very arrogant and unprofessional. Missing appointments that very sick patients have, and waiting 5 days to call them back after an initial note was entered that day to call and discuss my husbands health, and two messages sent to him after 2 days of no return calls. He makes excuses that make no sense and is extremely unprofessional. I would go to ANYONE in this world before making an appointment to see him.

I highly recommend your office and staff members slow down. Make sure you check to make sure you're in the right room and about to start a procedure on the right patient. Take more time to explain things with patients, especially pertaining to surgeries.

Wonderful! I’ve always had large amounts of earwax and only here did I get it removed in a manner that was comfortable.

Assigned Dr Kany for earwax removal. He microsuctioned ears and now I have loud ringing and pressure (like flying). It's constant, 24/7, and extremely loud (so much so, I am having a hard time sleeping). I did not have tinnitus, or any ringing or pressure before visiting Kany. I strongly believe he performed the procedure improperly. I've had the procedure done elsewhere, prior, with no issues. Do yourself a favor and see someone else. I am seeing another ENT for counsel.

I found Dr. Kany mis-diagnosed my condition, provided un necessary treatment as a result and over billed for the procedure. I went in for a sore throat -he diagnosed I needed rhinoplasty - they would not provide a quote prior to the outpatient procedure. They billed the procedure at $30,000. Insurance negotiated the charge to $6000. The procedure did not solve my sore throat. A few days after the procedure I say another doctor and was treat for infected salivary glands - symptoms solved.

Rates as the worst Doctor I ever had. I whet there for a long lasting sore throat. He looked in my mouth very quickly and said I had a cold sore on my throat. No real explanation. Just told gave me prescription for Valtrex and an antibiotic. Then sent me on my way. I took these medications which didn't help but screwed up my body, and told me to come back in several weeks. I then went to another ENT, who put a scope down my nose and checked my throat to determine I had acid reflex.

My 14 y/o son was having sinus issues for months. After being frustrated with the pediatrician's approach, we found Dr Kany. He was able to sort through several issues and get my son healthy again. He actually looks into the sinuses to see for himself what is going on and then explains the issue and based on what he is seeing. You can get an appointment relatively quickly and the staff is efficient - no long waiting periods.

Horrible, awful and no patience! This dr. Is the worse. I suffered for years because he was incompetent at diagnosing me properly. Once I went to a better ENT I got excellent care, a proper diagnoses and even surgery because that's how bad I was after dealing with Dr. Kany for years. Do your research before going or even staying with this dr.

Dr. Kany was thorough at explaining my diagnosis and what I should do about it. I appreciated his kind bedside manner. If there is a need I would schedule another appointment with him and would refer him to others.
