Unquestionably the Best
Dr. Helm is a perfectionist. If you are having open-heart surgery, as I did, you want a perfectionist. You can travel to New York, Boston, or anywhere else to find the “top surgeon”, and you will find no one better than Dr. Helm.

Dr. Helms seems to be one of Those rare ones who excels at his surgical art. this was only my first visit so I can’t say that everything went well. But to be very honest, I am facing Triple or Quadruple bypass surgery and I am scared half to death. Just something about him comforted me and Calmedamy fears.

When we were on vacation my fiancé had a heart attack. Without knowing a hospital or heart doctor in the area we were blessed to end up at Portsmouth Regional Hospital after a short cardio catheterization at the great little hospital in Exerter NH. Dr Helm accepted Bill as his patient while his procedure was shared with him. Dr. Helm is a brilliant heart surgeon with wonderful bedside manner. His team is just as wonderful and explained everything to me in terms I understood.

Dr. Helm has bedside manner plus, he's attentive to family concerns as well as patient's concerns. His concern was genuine and he was very attentive. My husband was very impressed with the ease of communication with Dr. Helm and how he explained everything that was going on in a way that a distraught family could understand and garner comfort and strength.

Dr. Helm and his surgical team are as professional a group one would want to oversee a major heart procedure. Throughout the process, from pre-op tests to post-op follow through, the Helm team was nothing less than great. My wife and I are very pleased with our choice and highly recommend Dr. Helm.
