Dr. Robert Green, MD

thought I’d found my forever doc in Robert Green Southview Medical St Vincents Bham. After 7 yrs I was shocked when he revealed his true nature-Don’t question him or disagree & def not in front of others.He will insinuate symptoms are psychosomatic by casually reminding you of a childhood trauma of which he knows nothing about & has never shown interest in until this moment when you are asking him to actually pay attention.He’ll offer you antianxiety meds in place of actual testing which he’ll also inaccurately tell you is expensive.When you question him (or perhaps when he realizes he’s made errors) he’ll fire you. It will include a veiled threat to talk poorly of you to other doctors along with the punishment of getting no refills.The completely inappropriate subject line of this letter? “Relationship status” And it comes a week after you’ve been incorrectly given abnormal normal results & still denies you the courtesy of any kind of verification as to your… “health” status

Dr. Green does not like to be asked questions about diagnosis or treatments and appears to take it as an affront to his credentials. If respectful communication is not the cornerstone of the patient/physician relationship, best treatments and outcomes cannot be expected.

Over my 65+ years & with several chronic conditions, Dr. Green is the best physician I have ever had. He is competent and compassionate, and my family (also his patients) & I trust him implicitly. He really cares. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I have had the privilege of using Dr. Robert Green for the past couple of years as my Internist at St. Vincent's. I've been fortunate to have had great care over my life, but Dr. Green is without a doubt THE BEST doctor I have ever worked with in a primary capacity. I've never met a doctor who is this thorough, generally cares about his patients and is just a great guy on top of it. My appointments with him are never rushed and he is really good about explaining what the issues are and giving you a good plan to execute on. I cannot recommend him highly enough, which I always do when asked by others. If you need a truly great doctor, he's it. His staff is also excellent throughout.

I have used Dr. Green as a primary care physician for 4 + years. Great staff, punctual. Appt times are kept. I like Dr. Green. He listens and adresses all my concerns. I don't feel rushed to get the appt over and done with. He is thorough and sympathetic and up on new medicines and procedures. I recommend him without reservation. I've never had a problem getting an appointment or Rx refills.

Doctor Green is the best doctor I have had. He is smart and cares about his patients. I feel I can trust what he says and he takes time to explain things to me.

Dr. Green is one of the best primaries I have ever had. Wonderful bedside manner, attentive, truly concerned for his patients. My whole family uses him. It took me years to find a new doctor I like and I am very happy with Dr. Green and Southview.

Dr. Green is by far the best doctor I have gone to. He is patient, conversational, and explains everything in terms I can understand. He takes his time with me during every visit and I have never felt rushed, like I have with some other doctors. I plan to be his patient for as long as he will have me.

Very attentive and listens to address your medical problems. Offers good suggestions regarding treatment or medications. Spends all the time necessary for office visits. Well mannered and willing to solve problems. Great doctor....glad he took me as a patient.

Wow. This guy's the real deal. So glad I started going to him. He listens, is patient, and explains things clearly and simply. On a scale of 1-10, he's at least an 11.

Sept 4th, of 2018 I visited Dr. Green for the first time. I was very appreciative of his level of professionalism, concern, and understanding of my situation. I felt as if I was talking to a friend that truly cared, listened, and took his time talking with me and explaining things to me in a very personable manner. It was a pleasure meeting him and I can't thank him enough for how he treated me. I highly recommend Dr. Green

I visited Dr. Green on 6/19/18 as a new patient. He was very professional, knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns. I am recommending Dr. Green to my family and friends that are seeking excellent patient care from a doctor that seems to enjoy his job and cares about his patients' well being. We need more doctors like him!!

Dr. Green is AWESOME !!! I have never been to a Doctor that was this thorough or that took as much time with me as he did. He can take care of ALL the things I was going to a different Doctors for. Would highly recommend. He is very genuine and interested in whatever concerns or questions you have. I have seen many doctors that were very monotone and more concerned with gettting to the next patient. Great primary care doctor.

Dr. Green works with my whole family. My parents and my grandparents included. He and his staff are so kind! He genuinely takes your concerns into consideration. He listens and he doesn't try to undermine. He does what he thinks is best for each individual patient. This takes time, so he's usually running a little behind, but I'm ok with that knowing that my doctor is giving such quality of care to all of his patients. Highly recommend!!!

After a couple of people suggested Dr. Green, tried to get appointment after 3 messages to his receptionist Jessica, none of my calls were returned. And he is suppose to be taking new.

Dr. Green is wonderful about not only diagnosing something that is wrong with you but following up and getting questions answered even if it means going to an outside source. He is very sweet and kind and has a wonderful bedside manner. He is my favorite doctor.
