He stole my joy
He, and his nurse Jennifer, tried to strip me of all of the meaningful joy in my life by reminding me I was old, falling apart, too impaired to continue living a free and independent life. I am 'old' by his standards, I am in mediocre health, I do have pain and other issues, but I also have a life I want to live my way. He tried to take it away from me by denying me the treatment I had to find elsewhere. I am too spunky and stubborn to believe him and moved on to a place where I am encouraged to make my own decisions and enjoy the 20 years I have left. It scares me to realize there are providers that only provide what is advantageous for them, and refuse to look into what the person sitting in the chair next to them want and need. We're my needs too costly or time consuming? My insurance company didn't think so, my new non-UW providers don't think so. Rhetorically speaking, he tried to end my life as I wanted it to be. I hope to never have to see people like him again.

He is just like the "boy next door", friendly, sweet, but not very knowledgeable. He likes to refer his patients out to other specialists in the UW System and is quick to send you to a nursing home.

Great Family Doctor with a Bright Future
I've been seeing Dr. Freidel for over a year now. His staff from the front desk, nurses and are all great. They're friendly, share a laugh with you and listen to their patients. I've had bad experiences with the medical field before seeing Dr. Bob and I feel a wave of relief now that I know I have a doctor who listens to my needs. We come up with a plan together and life is great.
