Doctor was not at all personable or helpful. Was not willing to take the time to listen to me or discuss issues in depth. Asked for tests to help diagnose issues and was questioned about why I would want the tests. (Very standard tests that did end up confirming a problem.) Was told that even if there was a problem with cholesterol on test that the solution was to fix my diet (which is true but not the whole story and also it is still helpful to have baseline cholesterol information to monitor progress). Was told that complex hormonal issues could be solved by losing weight (in a not sensitive way) when weight loss efforts are stymied by said hormonal issue.

I do not recommend Dr. Robert Fernandez. I am 31 y/o male. I requested a comprehensive blood test and he recommended against it. He told me I should wait until I turn 35 to test my blood because that is normal procedure. After I reminded him that my Mother has Hyperthyroid he still advised against a blood test. After a couple minutes pleading my case he said ok but recommended I only get a basic blood test because of costs. I told him cost is not a issue I was willing to pay. Find a better doc.

I am a new patient, and I'm staying with Dr. Fernandez. He was engaging, concentrated, and most of all, he listened. Great attributes to have in this day and age of doctors.
