Dr. Robert Derosa, MD

Dr DeRosa is the best member of my healthcare team. My entire extended family are patients of his - that says a lot. It will be a sad day for me when he retires but I've received THE best care for the over 31 years that I have been under his care. My greatest recommendation is that he is my daughters' physician - only the best is worthy of my family.

I have been a patient for over 20 years and always have my questions answered when I go in for visits. Thank you for the great care

I had two appointments with him and I left in tears after my second. He was rude and even my husband was appalled with his comments on my weight and age. I will never again see a male physician as a result.

Dr.DeRosa is a great doctor.

I’ve been going to Sunforest since I was 16 yrs. Old, I’m now almost 60. My wonderful doctor (Dr. Stewart)retired and I started seeing Dr. Bishop, he moved on to a higher position within ProMedica and I started seeing Dr. DeRosa full time. (I had seen him on many occasions when my doctors were out) He is a great doctor with a great personality and bedside manner. He knows when to be a jokester and when to be serious. My Mother, sister, and 3 daughters also see him. He has delivered many of the babies in our family and has performed 4 of my daughters c-sections. We absolutely love him and would recommend him a thousand percent!

He treated me as though I was just a number, not a first time mom. Always was too quick to get out and forced me to have a c-section. Also used scare tactics to get me to be vaccinated for a something I wasn’t comfortable with. Told me repeatedly I was going to die.

Dr. DeRosa is an awesome gyno doctor and I love his bedside manner. He makes you feel very comfortable and talks to you as a person rather than just a doctor and I appreciate that more than I can explain. He does things discreetly and with class which is important in this field. Love his sense of humor and I actually don't hate going to the gyno anymore! What a good experience! I have never waited more than 15 minutes for my appointment either so these other reviews giving him a bad rep isn't accurate.

I have seen dr derosa since I was about 16. From my very first appointment he went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Derosa has since helped us through all the stages of a women’s life, birth control, infertility, and even both of my pregnancies. Over the last 20+ years he has always been professional yet personable. I can honestly say he is hands down the BEST doctor I have ever met. He even helped me find pediatricians who he knew I would like and mesh with. He is a very smart caring man. Oh and the compassion he showed my grandmother when she had to see him for a medical issue while suffering from Alzheimer’s is absolutely touching. She was scared and confused and he treated her with such care and love He truly is a great man.

Unfortunately I have not had good experiences with Dr. Derosa (I have been seeing him for a couple years). Every time I go I must wait at least 20 minutes, He doesn't take the time to listen to my issues (even the time I went in specifically for an issue). The follow up of testing results were not good by the staff either. He seems very arrogant overall.

Dr. DeRosa is an amazing physician with wonderful "bedside" manners. He thoroughly explains things in a way that I can easily understand. He is very personable, extremely likable and quite knowledgeable too. I would certainly recommend family and friends. In fact, I already have recommended Dr. DeRosa to others.

I absolutely love Dr. DeRosa. He has been my doctor for close to 20 years and always remembers me personally. I trust his decisions for my female health, his experience is tremendous, and his attitude is great! I loathe the day he retires and I have to choose someone else. He is by far the BEST gynecologist I have ever had in my life. Not too many women are comfortable with a male doctor, but I am so glad I gave Dr. DeRosa a chance with me.

I waited for over 35 minutes in the waiting room. No one even said he was running behind or even sorry. I have been a Dr D'Amato patent for 15 years I have never waited that long to be seen. I know sometimes emergency happen but I would of been understanding if someone would of told me that. I would not of gotten upset and angry if that would of been the case.
