I cannot trust him at all. He misdiagnosed my eye with glaucoma and performed a laser procedure which did not help at all. Then, he wanted to perform a major operation and his office asked me to pay a copay over $4k one month before the scheduled date. I was concerned he wanted to lock me up in case I changed my mind. I was glad I did not listen to him. Gradually, my eye symptom went away naturally. If a doctor does not care right or wrong for patients, the patients may suffer more if they get unnecesary treatments.

A good friend with experience in the field of opthalmology told me about the many skills Dr. Derick possesses. When she asked about how my recent cataract removal surgery was progressing, I could honestly tell her that Dr. Derick made the operation seem simple....I know better, but his ease with patients is very helpful, along with a low-key explanation of a complex set of steps. He's great to work with.

3/2015, Dr. Derick performed surgery to remove cataracts & treat my glaucoma. Stent in one eye & canaloplasty in the other. Toric lenses in both eyes. I cannot say enough about the difference this has made in my life. After wearing contact lenses for over 50 years & using eye drops for glaucoma for 13 years, I now have 20/20 vision & no longer wear contacts or need reading glasses or eye drops. His skill as a surgeon & overall compassionate care is awesome! Highly recommend him & staff.

I have seen Dr Derick for several years now, and I feel like he has saved my eyesight. I was diagnosed with early onset glaucoma in my late 30's he has performed 2 laser surgeries, cataract surgery, and scalpel in your eye glaucoma surgery on both eyes I'm off all glaucoma drops, and for the first time since I was 8, I don't wear corrective lens! I don't trust my eyes to anyone except Dr Derick.
