Excellent Surgeon
Dr. Del Pero is the best eye surgeon I have ever met. He is very thorough, professional, and highly skilled. I have read some of the reviews which really surprise me. Either people are not informed, or are not responsible for themselves. People also need to understand the reality of working in Medical Care. The number of "no show" appointments, failure to see their primary providers, not having stuff done which should have been done prior to coming in for an appointment, showing up late, etc. I have been to Dr. Del Pero's office several times either for myself or family members. I have used his services for surgery four times, and non-surgical eye trauma with referral to a retinal specialist once, and 3 times for corneal injuries. I have never seen, experienced, or have heard any negativity of him or his staff. As he is an ophthalmologist, a surgeon, he deals with serious eye issues. He is not an optometrist. People need to be more responsible for themselves prior to making an appt.

Waited months for appt. Showed up and found the office "closed for training". No one bothered to let me know they cancelled me. Looking for a new doc who respects patients!

Dr Del Pero try's to pass his practice as professional although in my view Dr. Del Pero is a self serving, a self-serving practice it is all about the covering his end and not about the patient. Any thing you sign you have to ask for copy State of California law you get a copy of what you sign. the office will not give you a copy unless you ask for it this happened three times no offer of eye protection after having your eyes dilated . No questioner that the cataract video says you should get. Dr Del Pero is way to busy to address any real questions . and on your last visit the thing he wants to get across is all that can go wrong and he has you sign a paper stating you understand . that. And you will not be offered a copy I am not going to use this practice so I requested my records the had me sign a paper for a release again no copy was offered .

I found him arrogant, condescending, overbooked (assembly-line comes to mind) and opted out of having him treat me, choosing UCD-Sacramento instead. He was not happy with my decision. It is my opinion that he has an exaggerated opinion of himself.
