Terrific Outcome
I went to Dr. Cagle because he was the first doctor in my area that does an anterior hip replacement. I tried to avoid hip replacement for more than 10 years and finally realized I wasn't living life. So I had both hips done 6 weeks apart. Absolutely amazing. Best decision. I have no regrets or complications whatsoever. Eighteen months later I just returned from a vacay where I walked and hiked a total of 45 miles. I am over the moon that I am able to do so. Two years ago walking 4 to 5 blocks was more than I could do at one time. I am very appreciative of Dr. Cagles excellent skills.

Biggest mistake I ever made was going to him.
Horrible, he is short tempered and blames the patient for not working hard enough thru the pain instead of investigating what is actually causing the pain. He did a total knee replacement on me on it has never been right. Did a manipulation on that same knee three weeks later and the same area where I experienced the pain was still there. I worked my tail off and am going through a knee revision in the next week. Glad he is now closed !

Horrible and Careless
Dr. Cagel is a horrible and careless surgeon. He doesn’t take responsibility for his mistakes or those of his fellow surgeons within his practice. He did a left knee total revision on a former knee replacement that had worn out. Within 10 days of Dr. Cagel clearing the patient 3 months post op, the patient ended up with gaseous gangrene within the implant, and the patient had to be life flighted to Mayo. He is rude, and demeaning. He left the patient fighting for his life, and hoping and praying another surgeon could help him. All Dr. Cagel had to say was “wow, I’m sorry.” Pathetic excuse for a surgeon and a human being. 1 star only because you have to mark something.

Dr. Cagle performed my second total hip replacement surgery three years ago (2017), following my first THR four years previous. I chose him because (1) the sports medicine clinic I used did not previously have a joint replacement surgeon on staff until Cagle came on board, (2) his office and the hospital where he operated were more convenient, and (3) he used the anterior rather than the posterior method (which my first surgeon used). As I had gathered that the anterior method was less invasive and led to quicker healing, I went with Cagle. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't. Ever since the surgery, my flexor muscles (especially the inner) have never been the same and continue to cause me pain when I exercise or even stumble a bit. Very disappointing. No amount of PT (and I've had plenty) has helped. Lesson learned: if you've had success with a surgeon, if at all possible don't switch to a different one.

I had the best experience with Dr Cagle for the revision of my knee implant. At first I was hesitant about getting it replaced again but I'm now happy to say that is behind me. I don't think I could have had a better outcome. 6 weeks after surgery I can fully straighten and bend my knee. I'm also walking unassisted. I finish my last physical therapy session today and only expect it to get better. If you're having knee problems go see the best orthopedic surgeon in Santa Clara County!

Dr Cagle is excellent. He is very informative, helpful and professional. He performed my hip replacement surgery and I could not be happier. Walking the very same day of surgery and minimal pain. Words cannot express my gratitude for the ease of the process and healing thus far in my recovery. If you are looking for a great orthopedic surgeon - Dr Cagle is it. Do not hesitate to make an appointment to discuss your issues, you will not be disappointed.

Wait time between waiting for doc and procedures was too long. Other then the long wait timed, my visit was very pleasant. The check in people were very nice as was the X-rays Tech and the assistants. Dr Cagle was so friendly and nice. Made me very comfortable. Very informative too.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had visiting a doctor! Dr. Cagle understood my knee problems within a few minutes and gave me multiple options right away. I now can walk without pain for the first time since I injured my knee-and it turns out I didn’t need surgery. I am so grateful for his care. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to put this recommendation out. Thank you, Dr. Cagle.

Worst experience ever. Don’t waste your time. Find a more experienced and competent orthopedic surgeon. If it’s not obvious what your problem is, he’s not going to go the extra mile to figure it out. He was absolutely no help to me. My pain still exists, something is not right, but he continues to tell me he has no clue how to help me. I would have just appreciated he’d not taken my case, referred me to someone who could and be willing to help me instead of stringing me along all this time and t

Dr. Cagle is going to be the next Best hip surgeon in the country for anterior hip replacements, I am predicting. He is smart, has lots of Charisma, great bedside manner, positive, confident; he has the newest training tecniques and education with joint repacements, backing that with experience. On top of that he is cute. Lastly, He explains everything in detail, giving explanations and reasoning, so one will understand the diagnosis, and the solution to the problem. Sincerely, Ann G Munro
