Dr. Burakoff is very attentive and has a great demeanor. He takes the time to give detailed information about medical procedures and the results. He’s like a caring father. He makes you feel like a VIP.

Smart and compassionate physician

Very knowledgeable. Spoke clearly and I immediately felt at ease.He has been doing this for a long time and I trusted his advise and will follow up in a month to see how I'm doing.

Dr. Burakoff was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He explained his diagnosis very clearly and understood my own concerns. I highly recommend him.

Zoom visit and first time meeting doctor. Very knowledgeable and patient with senior mother. Only comment is that if Zoom becomes a big part of practice, he might 1) have a device devoted to the practice (no interruptions from other calls, etc) and 2) remember to keep the face visible and center screen during communication. Looking fwd to having him as a part of Mom’s medical team.

I never met Dr. Burakoff personally but he read my high resolution esophageal manometry test/results in the June of 2017. At the time he said these results were not indicative of Achalasia. A year later another doctor read the readings, the same readings, and said they showed a clear pattern of Achalasia, you "just needed to know where to look." It was Spring 2018, I could not longer eat and had lost a great deal of weight. Surgery was scheduled - end of May 2018. Unfortunately Dr. B's diagnosis inhibited me from getting correct and adequate treatment, and other doctors, who read Dr. Burakoff's report refused to see or treat me. I'm sure Dr. B. is good based on the many positive reviews, but I hope he perfects his ability to read the tracings and consults with other highly competent GI doctors even at the Brigham (Dr. W. Chan, for instance) when making a diagnosis. The psychological and physical toll of dealing with Achalasia is inordinately complicated, even debilitating.

Excellent! Dr. Burakoff listens to complaints, purposes solutions but also anticipates other issues that might arise and a remedy......very useful!

I have just had one visit with Dr. Burakoff so far but it was great. He has a great relaxed but attentive demeanor, I felt at ease right away. I did not feel judged when I tried to explain my symptoms. He ordered the appropriate tests and gave me helpful handouts related to foods to avoid, etc and the over the counter treatments I can try. I am hopeful I will get the treatment I need.
