Dr. Robert Brager, MD

My husband went in after referring Dr. said the look & symptoms were consistent to stage 1 tongue cancer. Brager said it was not cancer, it was a dental issue less than 3 min of looking at the legion. About to send us on our way, I asked if we set biopsy app with him or front desk. I wld be shocked if it was cancer, but I mean I can do a biopsy if u want. He took only 1 tissue sample from the legion no sort of numbing prior to cutting tissue, cauterizing where he cut, still using nothing to numb, It was visibly clear he was insulted by the biopsy request rushing thru it. 4 months later, the legion had grown in size, appearance worsened and pain was intense. Dentist sent him to VCU that day, they took 3 tissue samples for a biopsy, numbing his tongue & mouth & stitched up where tissue cut out, not burned. VCU results: stage 4A tongue cancer spread to lymph-nodes & far down his throat. His chance of beating the cancer is slim. He suffers daily, chances of beating cancer are now slim

Dr Brager has treated me for thyroid, hearing and vertigo issues. His knowledge and advice on non-ENT medical issues has been invaluable as well.

He put a tube in my ear without anestesia. I felt the pain, every second! I had to go to the ER next day, to much pain, they did a CT and he told me to find a doctor to do mastoide surgery, that is my problem and he did not give me anything for pain or let the doctor in the ER to give me something. Has been 3 weeks I’m having ear infection, it’s really painful, but he just don’t care about imigrantes without insurance. No one ever treat me like this, I’m feeling horrible and in pain. Do not recommend him

Dr. Brager was very patient with my nervous mother. She is 78 years old and recently lost hearing due to impacted canals. Dr. Brager would explain what he was doing so that I could communicate the best I could to calm her nerves. He was patient, showed great care and took care of the impaction in one visit. This was a same day appt scheduled for us due to a cancellation which will now allow her to get some rest. The other Drs offices couldnt see her for at least a month.

Dr Brager is superb. He listens well and is extremely knowledgeable. He is technically proficient and takes the time to answer all questions. He is the official team ENT doctor for all of the University of Richmond sports teams. Always a great experience going there.

Poor visit. Dr had no compassion for listening to my problem. He thought he knew my concerns prior to seeing me. Also forgot I had seen him 2 years prior. Next time I'm waiting for another physician. Practice us great. Dr Brager not so much!

He is a great physician and has been caring for our family for years. We are always thankful to him and his sincere care when it comes to our health.

My Mom recently noticed a lump on her neck and we were referred to Virginia Ear Nose and Throat Associates. We saw Dr. Brager who immediately referred her for a biopsy. Following her results he quickly got her in to surgically remove the lymph node for a more thorough evaluation. Within 2 weeks she was in for surgery, had more testing done, and will be receiving treatment shortly. Dr. Brager was very thorough and extremely helpful during this time. Fantastic Physician!

Had a really good experience with Dr. Brager. He took time to listen to my concerns and then explained everything in details for me. I didn’t feel rushed and felt comfortable. He investigated mine and his concerns throughly and suggested a treatment plan based on the outcome. Highly recommended!

Dr. Brager saved my life. I had a certain type of cancer in his specialty, and without his accurate and timely diagnosis, the best surgical biopsy, and the continuous follow-ups (till this day), I would not have survived. I consider myself blessed with his care.

Dr Robert Brager has taken care of my sons when they were children and as adults. He has treated me and the many pediatric patients I have referred to him in my capacity as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. His professional expertise is evident in each interaction. His understanding of the needs of his patients and their families is a key component of how he cares for them. He is my first line of referral for all my patients.

Not a nice experience. Went for ear cleaning recently and the doctor was not compassionate at all. To make things worse, I ended up being in pain all day long post such a small routine procedure. Would not recommed.

Dr Brager is an excellent doctor who really cares about his patients. I had cancer of the larynx and he removed the tumor and has followed my recovery consistently. I think he is the best ENT doctor in Richmond.

I would recommend Dr. Brager to all my family and friends. He is the best. I had allergy problems for a long time. Went to see Dr. Brager and within a couple of months I had nasal surgery, saw the allergist specialist Wendy, got on allergy shots and I can finally breathe and smell again. His nurse Kathy is wonderful too. I call and leave a message and she calls me back in a reasonable time. I can't say enough about Dr. Brager and his staff. THEY ROCK Mary Haislip
