Dr. Robert Barry, DO

My son came to this primary care doctor, Dr. Barry to be weaned off benzos that were given to him and he told him to cold turkey the medication which caused my son to have a illness called akathisia. . He treated my son without any concern or regards to his health and how can you see a patient in two minutes walk out of the room and not be concerned. Beware do not go to this man because who knows what will happen to you

Dr. Barry is the worst PCP I have ever dealt with. He is dismissive, condescending and does not know his patients files. For me, he actually said, if a test result comes back abnormal, what are you going to with it so you don't need it. Another example, my labs showed one of my levels too high; he had no comment or follow up just the usual come back in 6 months. Mr. Barry (I refuse to refer to him as a doctor going forward) absolutely did not listen to me, did not care and really should not be seeing patients. Any Doctor associated with him should be weary of including him in their practice.

Dr. John Robert Barry listens to issues I have, when he first walks through the door into the room, then I give him time to read over my chart, catching up on my pass health problems. He's a great doctor that I've trusted for years. I always tell the truth as to what I did wrong, causing my problem, yes, he may not agree with how I handled what I did, but it to my benefit. Yes, I recommend Dr. Barry!

Rude and disinterested, and seemingly lacking in competency. Very close to being the worst primary care physician I have ever known. Don't waste your time nor your health with guy.

Following is my experience: He does not listen and repeatedly interrupts, even interrupting several times as I started to answer his questions. To me, this showed a distinct disinterest in me, from both a clinical and personal perspective. In terms of his abilities as a clinician, I found him to be lacking in medical knowledge and general intellect, and he was extremely disorganized. Consequently, I had to pretty much take charge of the session at a several points direct him. Though this kept things moving forward, it did result in him engaging in childish verbalizations, which was very unnerving. My advise: stay away from this guy

Lacks basic knowledge on nutrition and healthy eating. Doesn't know about adhesion treatments.

Dr. Barry has been easy to discuss my issue with and has referred me to specialist as needed. Not pushy and accusing. I like him.
