Dr. Rizwana Thanawala, MD

From the moment she walked in my room she had a bad attitude. She asked me to show her where it hurt with one finger. I asked her not to push hard and she immediately pushed my stomach to my backbone or so it seemed. She asked me a bunch of questions kept asking me about my swallowing. She asked if it was only when I ate food. I told her no, it happens even when I'm just taking a sip of water to take a pill. 3 times in a row (literally) she asked me that question. I had to raise my voice to get her to comprehend. Before leaving, she made a statement and I asked her 3 times to explain what she meant, to no avail. She walked out saying ' I'll tell your nurse and she can explain it' last I checked, YOUR the doctor!! The nurse doesn't get paid to explain something to the patient that should have come from you!!!! She is a sorry excuse for a doctor. Run! Run as fast as u can from this one.She has a bad attitude, poor bedside manner, and acts as though u are beneath her.

No compassion, lacking bedside manners, rude, and displays an elitist attitude.

She has become more unpleasant since I've been seeing her. Two days ago I had an appointment (10 AM) and she said she would send in a prescription for me. She was unable to find my pharmacy, fumbled around, and finally said she would have "her girls" fax it in. It is now two days later I have still not received the prescription. When I call I get VoiceMail and no one returns my call. I had the pharmacy call with the same results. Is this a doctor??? I would never return.

Very honest, to the point, she did not waste my time with non sense pleasantries that neither of us will remember at the next visit. She is a doctor and acted as such- came in, reviewed my problems, looked me over and told me what she thought. I asked a few questions, she answered and that is that.

Very rude and dismissive. She talks down to you when you ask a question. She did not listen to my concerns and did not explain anything very well. I left with many unanswered questions.
