Dr. Ricky Tubbs, DO

The doctor is good to me but the front office staff are very rude and harsh. They lock the doors in the middle of the work day even 15 minutes before appointments start with no sign or anything. I knocked on the door and was looked at like I was an idiot. There is an insane missed appointment fee so I was very stressed trying to figure out why they were closed. No one would answer the phone or anything.

The medical staff is great yet .The Cullman office and the Gardendale office are define not run by the same managers. The communication as well as professionalism at the Cullman office is at best on par with a McDonalds drive thru . On one occasion an pain block was scheduled and the staff did not make me aware of any balance that was due until the day of the procedure. If I had not had a credit card the procedure would have needed to be canceled. On a second occasion the staff failed to contact the insurance company in time to get a pre approval for the procedure 'not needed by insurance' and the procedure had to be canceled. When Cullman called the following week to set up a new appointment I was told that 11am was to late to schedule. I told her then I would have to schedule for another time. Then I was told I would have schedule the procedure at my next in office appointment and was threatened with a cancelation fee.. When it was mentioned that I had an appointment the previous

I have been seeing Dr Tubbs and he was doing well. My pain was well controlled. He decreased the dose and I have been hurting since. I told my PCP about my hurting. She wrote him a note explaining the amount of pain I am in and asked him to review the medication he is giving me. I gave him the letter and he got angry. He gave me an epidural with no anesthesia. He cursed at me and pushed me out the door when I was finished. I have never been treated like this by any provider. I will never go back to him. And, he billed my insurance for anesthesia which he never administered. Please do not go to Dr Tubbs for pain management.
