Dr. Ricky Ford, MD

Front office is the worst. Very difficult to get someone to answer the phone. No one returns calls if you leave a message. Automated recording on during office hours. They don’t send orders for tests. They say they will give the Dr. a message yet you never hear from anyone. Multiple phone calls to get anything accomplished. Dr. Ford is great. Wonder if he knows how unprofessional his office staff is.

I have only been for an initial visit so far . I like Dr. Ford very much. He is very thorough and explains different options and procedures in easy-to-understand language. I have not yet seen him for treatment however. And the reason I am not giving him higher ratings is because communication at the office is very ssporadic. It's extremely hard to get in touch with anyone at the office. An after-hours voicemail is often received even when calling during business hours. There have recently been two emergencies at his office. It seems to me that the answering machine should reflect when something like that is going on. The patients are just left hanging. And very rarely are the phone calls returned. Dr. Ford came with a very high recommendation which is why I'm seeing him. However this lack of communication is very frustrating!

Very unreliable and unprofessional!

I hate it when you really like and trust the Doctor but his front office people make you dislike coming there?? I always try to get a 2:00 appt but that doesn’t really matter when the girl doesn’t even open the door until 2:10, people are waiting in wheelchairs and walkers to get in. I call in questions for her to ask him after a surgery and never get a return call??

Dr. Ford is honest, kind, and personable. He listened, conducted an exam, and answered all of my questions on my first visit. I felt valued as a patient and unhurried. I feel he will guide me in the correct treatment. Thank you Dr. Ford and staff.

went to dr ford on may 19th .was very pleased with the outcome . he was straight forwad and explained what he was going to do with my knee

Dr. Ford is a caring doctor that tells you whats wrong and lets you decide when you want to have it done. He doesnt push you to have surgery even though he knows you will need it soon. He is interested in his patients not what he can charge them and that is so refreshing now days to find someone who is all about the patient and not about how many surgeries they can do. I drive from out of town to see Dr. Ford and will continue to do so until he retires which i hope isnt soon.

Too bad I could not get past Dr Fords staff to get treated. I waited weeks for a new patient appointment with a hurt knee, but just before my appointment I hurt my shoulder as well. Staff “sorry we cannot look at your shoulder, that’s a new item, needs second 20 minute appointment, and must be on a separate visit.” Obviously staff is more concerned about pleasing insurance than treating me. I really think Dr Ford is a good, but his staff is not.

Have had no problem with scheduling..he was referred by our Dr. R. and Dr. Ford responded with an appointment in a very timely manner and his staff scheduler was very friendly and efficienct!!??

Dr Ford, is by far the best surgeon I have seen due to my knee .. I had seen someone else before.. The other doctor never mention I had arthritis.. He’s the one that told me , I had arthritis.. He also showed me pictures ,of how bad my knee was .. His hands are guided by the Lord what an amazing doctor..

Dr Ford is an exceptional physician who truly cares about his patients. He takes time to assess problems & discuss options. I am so pleased to have him as my Orthopedic specialist working with my terrible knees!

Dr Ford did a knee replacement for me 25 years ago and it's still going strong. His care was excellent & his bedside manner delightful. We compared notes on ranching & exchanged tall tales.

I can’t comment on the Doctor himself because nobody ever returned my phone call or messages when I tried scheduling an appointment. Left messages and called multiple times over a week and could not get an answer.

Awesome Doctor, great surgeon.

My dad had three amputations on his leg, the last and final done by Dr. Ford a few years ago. He was by far the best surgeon my dad saw. When my daughter had trouble with her knee, I brought her to Dr. Ford. She ended up having a rare condition and he referred us another surgeon who was up to date on recent techniques for the procedure. Dr. Ford made sure we understood the condition and the options for fixing it while in the office before referring us. He is a talented and trustworthy surgeon.

He is not only an amazing surgeon, he is also an amazing person.
