Dr. Rick Hernandez, MD

I was very happy with Dr. Hernandez he took very good care of my husband who was very sick he was always there when we called him but now I heard he went to the VA so I’m looking for a new doctor

I moved later last year to North Carolina. My medications needed to be renewed. I searched the internet and asked many neighbors and locals who they would recommend. Dr Hernandez's name was the one that the majority of them recommended. His practice is called Brunswick Familiy Medicine. Today I finally had my appointment with him. I am thrilled to say he was the best Doctor I have ever been to. He was courteous, thorough and considerate. He spent over 45 minutes reviewing my files and figuring out my skin issues. He diagnosed the issue better than an unnamed local Dermatology practice. He was able to proscribe a suggested fix for my issue. Suprisingly I took one dose of the medication he suggested and I felt better within 4 hours. The itching and rashes subsided. I know it's early, however I haven't felt this good in 3 month's. If you're looking for a caring, compassionate and professional family practice Doctor I highly suggest Dr Hernandez. 5 stars plus.

I lost my father on wed. During the epic flood of NC I was frantic to get home and grieve.Mother nature had other plans along with hydroplaning after driving 15 hrs in the dark and being thrown off a seat in a dead sleep. I awoke to a panic and anxiety attack . Unbeknownst to me my husband called Dr Hernandez and obviously was worried about my state of mind from funeral to flood. I have tears in my eyes as I describe the crucial importance he played. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Peace?

Willing to take time to do a thorough physical and discuss any questions or concerns you may have. Allows you to make decisions regarding your care and discuss medications you may or may not wish to take depending on your condition. He usually runs late on appointment times, but I assure you that you will not be hurried when he comes into your room. Perhaps the reason he is running behind is because he spends time with his patients and is willing to thoroughly explain his plan of treatment.
