Horrible experience
I visited Dr. Delmonte as a new patient. He spent all of 5 minutes in the room with me and ignored my concerns. He didn’t look at one of my feet (I have issues with both) yet listed that he had done so in the after visit notes. I ordered orthotics with him and he had me pay almost $400 upfront saying the office would bill my insurance and return my money based on what insurance covered. It has 5 weeks. I don’t have new orthotics. My insurance has not been billed. I am out almost $400. The office refuses to answer my calls and when it does answers says everyone is busy and will call back without ever calling back. I’m not generally a complainer and am not generally melodramatic but I have lost a significant amount of money, time, and emotional energy. Stay away!

Efficient and skilled
I self-referred due to an inflamed nerve in my foot. I thought it was tendinitis but within 3 minutes Dr. Delmonte explained my issue and proposed a cortisone injection to help it heal. He performed the treatment during the visit and the whole thing took about 10 minutes. And it worked.

I have been under the care of Dr. Delmonte since fall, 2018. By fall 2019, I was in need of surgery for arthritis on both feet. Dr. Delmonte, and his entire staff, has consistently been highly professional, and expert in explaining what was required, why and how we would proceed. Both surgeries were performed in late 2019: I could not have asked for better care during or after the procedures, both of which were performed at NYU Langone's new Essex surgical center. Dr. Delmonte's attention to detail and insuring that after-care and healing were proceeding as wanted were expert. Medical expertise aside, his manner is friendly and welcoming, intelligent and with a great sense of humor. I have recommended him to other friends who I believe could benefit from his care. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone reading this review.

A total waste of time. Even though he only spent 10 minutes with me, it was useless. Came across as arrogant and sat across the room with his arms crossed.

I met Dr. Delmonte 18 years ago when he was initially my mom's foot surgeon; infact it was right before her first foot surgery with him. I had my own feet issues and he was kind enough to take a look that day. Since, he has fixed a bunion as a third time re-do and hammer toes on my opposite foot. Both which went very well and I can wear most of my high end shoes again!! He is extremely knowledgeable about foot issues and the latest techniques to correct them. He spends ample time putting his patients at ease and answering questions. He follows up post surgery and really cares. From a medical standpoint he is often in tune with other issues outside of his area of expertise and is willing to assist his patients. He truly is my favorite doctor! I have highly recommended him to numerous friends, relatives & acquaintances!

I had a very good and very positive experience with Dr. Delmonte. I went to him last fall for chronic foot pain, and he confirmed a previous diagnosis of plantar fascitis. We tried all the conventional treatments. The last step was surgery. I am 3 weeks post-op and pain free for the first time in 18 months--and wearing my own shoes! Very happy with Dr. D!
